The Beginning of Blessed Hope
Blessed Hope Tabernacle Outreach Ministries was founded in 2003 by Evangelist
James L. Funches Jr. stemming from under the leader of Holy Tabernacle Church
previously shepherded by Bishop Aurthur Jack. Evangelist Funches grew
spiritually under the leadership of Bishop Joe L. Smith whom went home to be
with the Lord in the year 2000.
Evangelist James L. Funches Jr. has been evangelising since he was just a
brother and faithful member of Holy Tabernacle Church, also known as, Holy Tab.
He was elevated as a Pastor in the year 2003 after serving 14 years as a
brother, trustee, and evangelist. He now serves the Boston community as a
diligent leader, father, and husband. He is souled out for Christ Jesus and for
Christ he lives and for Christ he'll die.
His word is profound and comes biblically with experience as he has been
delivered from the demon of drug addiction, alcoholism, and has fought many
battles like loosing his children to DSS and loosing his son to a violent crime.
As he furthered submitted his all to God he was blessed in getting his children
back from the system, was able to overcome burying his father to a violent
crime, mother, two sisters, and his son. Even these things have made him strong
in the gospel. His testimonies are endless and so is his praise. And in that
praise he plans to evangelise the world so the world can be more like Christ.
Praise be unto Jesus for saving him.
Services At Blessed Hope
Monday: New Members Class: This class is to educate new members about the
body of Christ and the ministry that they are becoming part of. Every new member
that joins the church has to attend new members class and will receive
certification that they have became an official Blessed Hope member.
Tuesdays: Sista2Sista: Women's Ministry dedicating itself to educating, lifting
up, providing support to the women in the ministry and the community. This
service is ran by Reverend Vernice Funches, the First Lady of Blessed Hope
Tabernacle.
Wednesdays: Mid Week Service: Started as a weekly mid Bible Study group which
turned into Bible Study/Church Service. We have the word preached in a study
form to gain awareness of the Word of God to sustain members throughout the
week.
Every Friday (Except 4th Fridays): Men's Bible Study Support Group: Men's
Ministry dedicating itself to educating, lifting up, providing support to the
men in the ministry and the community. This service is ran by Evangelist James
L. Funches Jr. Pastor of Blessed Hope Tabernacle.
4th Fridays: Prayer/Tarrying Service: Every 4th Friday we have a prayer/tarrying
service were we pray and have church service.
Sunday Services: 10AM & 1PM: We have a morning and evening service full of song,
dance, and word.
