STATEMENT OF FAITH

STATEMENT OF FAITH The supreme authority in matters of faith and practice is the Bible. Based on the teachings of the Scriptures we, the members of Faith Christian Bible Community Church believe the following: FAITH CHRISTIAN BIBLE COMMUNITY CHURCH'S DOCTRINAL STATEMENT THE BIBLE. We believe (a) in the plenary-verbal inspiration of the Bible, (b) that the Bible is God's Word (c) that both the Old and New Testament are inerrant in the original writings and are the supreme and final authority for faith and life. THE GODHEAD. (a) We believe that there is one, and only one living and true God. (b) That the Godhead exists in three divine persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. These three are one God having precisely the same nature, attributes, and perfections, executing distinct but harmonious offices in the great work of redemption. THE LORD JESUS CHRIST. We believe (a) in His eternal existence as God, (b) His incarnation and virgin birth, (c) His death on the cross as the substitutionary atonement for sin, (d) His literal, bodily resurrection from the dead. (e) His present ministry of intercession in heaven, and (f) His personal, future return to earth. THE HOLY SPIRIT. We believe (a) that the Holy Spirit, the third Person of the Godhead, convicts men of sin, generates, baptizes, indwells, seals and sets apart believers unto a holy life; (b) that He keeps and empowers believers day by day; (c) that He is the Teacher of the Word of God and the Guide for daily living. MAN. We believe that (a) man was created innocent and pure, and (b) Adam fell through the sin of disobedience. Therefore, (c) all men are corrupted in body, soul, and spirit; and (d) all men need redemption. SALVATION. We believe that (a) salvation is by grace, a free gift of God apart from works, (b) salvation requires Repentance, a turning away from sin and Faith, a whole hearted trust in the person an work of Jesus Christ, (c) all who commit their lives of Jesus Christ are regenerated by the Holy Spirit and become the children of God, and (d) true salvation will be manifested and evidenced by a changed life. THE church. We believe that (a) the True Church is composed of all believers in Christ, (b) the local church is left with two ordinances, Baptism and Lord's Supper, (c) the church must continue to Exalt God, Evangelize the lost, Edify and Educate the believers. THE FUTURE. We believe (a) in the personal, visible, bodily return of Jesus Christ to earth, (b) in the bodily resurrection of the just to eternal abode in the glory of God's presence, and (c) in the bodily resurrection of the unjust to judgment and everlasting punishment in the lake of fire.

guide to start a relationship with God

guide to start a relationship with God 1. God Loves You! The Bible says, "God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life" The problem is that 2. All of us have done, said or thought things that are wrong. This is called sin, and our sins have separated us from God. The Bible says "All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God." God is perfect and holy, and our sins separate us from God forever. The Bible says "The wages of sin is death." The good news is that, about 2,000 years ago, 3. God sent His only Son Jesus Christ to die for our sins. Jesus is the Son of God. He lived a sinless life and then died on the cross to pay the penalty for our sins. "God demonstrates His own love for us in that while we were yet sinners Christ died for us." Jesus rose from the dead and now He lives in heaven with God His Father. He offers us the gift of eternal life -- of living forever with Him in heaven if we accept Him as our Lord and Savior. Jesus said "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except by Me." God reaches out in love to you and wants you to be His child. "As many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, even to those who believe on His name." You can choose to ask Jesus Christ to forgive your sins and come in to your life as your Lord and Savior. 4. If you want to accept Christ as Savior and turn from your sins, you can ask Him to be your Savior and Lord by praying a prayer like this: "Lord Jesus, I believe you are the Son of God. Thank you for dying on the cross for my sins. Please forgive my sins and give me the gift of eternal life. I ask you in to my life and heart to be my Lord and Savior. I want to serve you always."
