The Bible is our all-sufficient rule for faith and practice. This Statement of Fundamental Truths is intended simply as a basis of fellowship among us (i.e., that we all speak the same thing, 1 Corinthians 1:10 [NKJV/NIV]; Acts 2:42 [NKJV/NIV]). The phraseology employed in this Statement is not inspired nor contended for, but the truth set forth is held to be essential to a full-gospel ministry. No claim is made that it covers all Biblical truth, only that it covers our need as to these fundamental doctrines. We believe.... 1. The Bible is the only inspired, infallible and authoritative written Word of God (2 Tim 15-17; I Thess 2:13, 2 Peter 1:21). 2. That there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit (Deut 6:4; Matt 28:19; Isa 43:10,11; Luke 3:22). 3. In the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, in His personal imminent return to this earth (Matt 11:23; Acts 2:32-36; Phil 2:9-11; Luke 1:35; Rom 1:4). 4. In the blessed hope - the rapture of the Church at Christ's coming (Rom 8:23; 1 Cor 13:51, 52; Titus 2:13; I Thess 4:16,17). 5. That the only means of being cleansed from sin is through repentance and faith in the precious blood of Christ (Luke 24:47; John 3:3; Rom 8:16, 10:13-15; Titus 2:11,12, 3:5-7; Eph 2:8, 4:24). 6. In water baptism by immersion (Mt 28:18; Rom 6:4; Acts 10:47,48). 7. In the redemptive work of Christ on the cross providing healing of the human body in answer to believing prayer (Isa 53:4,5; James 5:14-16; Matt 8:16,17). 8. In the baptism in the Holy Spirit, according to Acts 2:4, and has been given for all believers (Acts 10:44-46, 11:15-17, 15:7-9, 19:6). 9. In the resurrection of both the saved and the lost, the one to everlasting life and the other to everlasting damnation (Matt 23:46, Mark 9:43-48; Rev 19:20, 21:8, 20:11-15, 21, 22:2, Peter 3:13).
