You don't want to miss this:
1. Couples Fellowship (6.30 PM, Friday, Feb. 13, 2009 at Tara's Cafe and Restaurant, Andres Abellana, Guadalupe, Cebu City). As of Thursday, February 12, about 36 people or 18 couples have committed themselves to attend this event. I'm afraid the room might be too small for this crowd. Like I told Grace Ayala, "It's a very good problem!" (PTL for Grace, who's doing a fine job preparing the food for the venue, collecting from the ladies, and exerting leadership overall.)
2. Annual Daily Vacation Bible School (DVBS)with 100+ kids in Bgy. Ponce, tentatively set on April 8-10 (Holy Week). We need more teachers and assistants. Donations for food and funds are welcome! (Tentative budget: P6,000 or US $ 127.66)
Prayer Requests:
1. For our Couples Fellowship, that those couples who committed to attend will attend. Pray for our speaker, Pastor Ronald Cutamora and his wife, Dra. Em Cutamora.
2. For many young people/adults to sign up as Teachers and Assistants in our DVBS; and for many parents and children to join us and hear the Gospel.
3. For continued walk of new believers in our 2 new congregations--1 in Bgy. Kinan Owan, Bohol, and Bgy. Bangkal, Mactan. (Monthly budget is only P 6,000.00 or $ 136.00. Donations are welcome!)
4. For a church lot, where we could put up a church building and Christian School. On Feb. 12, I talked with a friend who owns vast parcels of land in Mandaue. I shared with him about the possibility of getting a lot from him, for a Christian School later on, Lord willing. He said that he had 2,000 square meters of land for P 2,500 per sq. m. (US $ 53.19) or a total of P 5,000,000 (US $ 106, 382.00). One advantage with this realtor is that his prices are relatively lower than market prices, catered toward low-income people (many teachers get lots from him), and easy installment plans. Let's pray about it. The Lord will provide!
