What is Cross Over Sunday? Well, It's an Empowerment Session with open mic portion that takes place every 3rd Sunday ...and it's free!...always held at: New Direction Christian Center (West Philly YMCA). This event is hosted by Bass Clef and features artists such as Un1.Vs.Soul and Concepts...and maybe even you.

NDCC wants to burst the "Christian" bubble so this new generation can get in. The average young person between 18-35 has no appetite for church as we know it. Partly because we've become so segregated and judgmental that there's no room for them. Even Jesus spent time with folks outside of the "bubble" of that day. This, my friends, is the only way to reach them; by reaching out. We have to understand their culture before we try and strip them of it.

Pastor Early Jackson, Jr.

Pastor Early L. Jackson Jr. has been called and anointed as a vessel to bring balance, relevance and understanding to the Body of Christ. Under the capable and renowned leadership of Bishop William Todd, Pastor Jackson began to "stir up" his spiritual gifts in service to the body of believers at Christ Haven Pentecostal Church in December of 1992.

Born again and called to the ministry in the same year, Pastor Jackson has served diligently as a Christian educator, an assistant to his pastor, a conference and seminar host as well as radio minister in the Philadelphia area for more than nine years. It is of a truth that his gifts have made room for him.

Through much prayer and counsel, Pastor Jackson launched out to obey God's call to raise up, Faith Assembly Fellowship, a church in the Upper Darby area of Pennsylvania; where he has served faithfully as the Senior Pastor for seven years.

As the ministry has shifted, in area and assignments, God has deemed it necessary to change our name to fit our experiences. With guidance from our covering, Faith Assembly Fellowship has been changed to New Direction Christian Center "the place where seekers find direction for their destiny"; to embody the "new direction" in which the ministry has been transitioned. We believe that our name will enable us to establish an image consistent with our strategy of rebuilding.

Pastor Jackson is submitted to the authority and leadership of Bishop Jimmie A. Ellis, III and has aligned himself and his ministry to the Victory Fellowship of Local Churches. It is under this ark of safety that he continues to be ushered as a son of destiny into his prophetic potential.

Known for his passion for teaching, gift of discernment and fervent love for God's people, Pastor Jackson is called to proclaim a liberating message of empowerment to the captives of spiritual and emotional bondage. Pastor Jackson embraces a vision which includes a community center, a minister's training facility and a counseling ministry to offer healing to the "total" man.

Pastor Jackson, a heavily sought after teacher and conference speaker, has been invited to minister in various venues and across several states. Profoundly recognized as a Kingdom Activist, his overarching belief "If we are to exercise our full status and potential in the earthly realm we must be retrained in the behavior and mindset of the Kingdom" is a prevalent and recurring theme in his preaching. Ever and always it is his goal to render a word that will bring every believer to the full revelation of their purpose and quality in Christ.
