MISSION/VISION
BACKGROUND: Holy Ghost Power Ministries derived from the book of Acts 1:8 "but you will receive power when the Holy Ghost comes on you" KJV, was founded on November 9 2003 by Pastor Fred Byekwaso and a group of Christians. Pastor Fred Byekwaso was ordained by Full Gospel Churches International. He is assisted by an Associate Pastor, David Kimumwe and a number of Elders. The Church Holy Ghost Power Centre is located at Mutundwe, 8 Km South of Kampala the capital city of Uganda. It also has several branches within the country and one in Burundi. OUR MISSION: To offer hope through a personal relationship with Jesus Christ to all individuals so that each can experience love, acceptance and restoration by the power of the Holy Spirit, as commanded by the Lord (Mark 16:15, Mathew 28:19) OUR VISION: To be a biblically rooted community centered church preaching the good news of Jesus Christ, making disciples and teaching Christian truths in order to foster a community after God's own heart that they are involved in church ministries and outreach to others around them as well as to the ends of the earth as missionaries (Mathew 28:17-20,Mark 16:15-20), overcoming social and cultural boundaries nationally and globally through partnerships, establishing local churches within the peoples of the nations, strengthening the weak, accepting the outcast, empowering the underprivileged and touching them with the love of Jesus Christ as we transform communities. STATEMENT OF FAITH/MESSAGE FROM PASTOR
STATEMENT OF FAITH WE BELIEVE in the Trinity: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. WE BELIEVE that Jesus Christ, the son of God, was conceived by the power of the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary; Jesus was both fully God and fully man. THE HOLY GHOST: is the one who brings new life to those who are spiritually dead and places all believers into God's church, which is the Body of Christ. It is He who lives within us, giving us the power to live a holy life and guiding us into all truth. WE BELIEVE that man was created in the image and likeness of God in innocence and without sin, but because Adam sinned the race "fell", inherited a sinful nature, and became alienated from God. ORDINANCES are specific commands that Jesus gave that were to be carried out "for all time" until His return. Holy communion is received in remembrance of Jesus' death for our sins. The bread represents His body and the Cup His blood. SPECIAL MESSAGE/INVITATION FROM THE PASTOR: If we want to reach our potential and strive for the seemingly impossible, each of us needs to become a team player. God is looking for people willing to use their abilities, gifts, readiness and talents to be used by Him achieve things for Him. For the church to effectively reach its community, every ministry and every individual must get involved in team ministry. I believe the role of the church today is to: Witness to God's Love and Power (Acts 1:8), Call society to harmony, fairness and compassion (Isaiah 5), Work toward the welfare of all members of society (James Chapter 2). These also apply to Holy Ghost Power Ministries. As a local community of believers, our main focus to reach those who are far away from God, the underprivileged, the outcasts and the weak. We can better achieve some of these goals through help and partnerships with people like you. We therefore extend an invitation to you to partner with us. We are seeking partnerships with missionaries, individuals, churches, organizations and anyone who can help us touch people with God's love. Any contribution is vital and will go a long way in moving someone's life for the Glory of God. You can contribute by partnering with Holy Ghost Fire ministries in setting up children centers, schools, vocational training centers and self-help projects. By partnering with us, you will be sharing in the anointing of our ministry which is dedicated to ushering believers into an abundant life in Jesus Christ. Furthermore, you will be sending the Word to millions around the world; you will be sponsoring projects and activities that impact entire nations.
