Ministry History
New Church of Deliverance is a Bible based and teaching ministry emphasizing total deliverance to the spirit, soul and body. The ministry was founded in August 1986 by the late pastors Andrew J. Stokes, Jr. and Marion S. Stokes. In 2002, Elder Shaun A. Stokes was appointed as pastor of the ministry. The motto for the ministry is "Educating, Elevating and Equipping the saints to impact the WORLD for the KINGDOM OF GOD!"(Ephesians 4:11,12)
What We Believe
We believe wholeheartedly in the Apostle's creed and the teachings as set forth to the Apostle's in His earthly ministry.
We believe that humanity is born in sin and in need of salvation (Psalms 51:5, Romans 10:9,10)
Believers should be baptized in order to fulfill our LORD's command and as a display outwardly of what has been confessed inwardly (Matthew 28:19, Acts 2:38).
The Unity of ALL believers in Christ without respect to color, denomination, location or differences in worship styles (John 17, Galatians 3:28)
The soon coming of our risen LORD and Savior. (I Thessalonians 4:13-18)
A committed life to prayer, fasting, devotion and communion with the saints.
