THE CHURCH AT JACKSON is An Apostolic Faith Ministry located at 1735 Shady Lane Drive, in the heart of Jackson,MS. Founded by the Honorable Dr. Kevin Joseph Boyd Sr.(Pastor of THE CHURCH AT NEW ORLEANS and Presiding Prelate of THE CHURCH OF THE APOSTOLIC FAITH INTERNATIONAL INC.), Church at Jackson officially open its doors for the first time on Sunday, November 19, 2006. The Church at Jackson or CAJax for short, is a magnificent, well structured facility, sitting on 4 acres of beautiful landscape. The facility includes; Sanctuary, Multi-Purpose Area, Educational Wing, Kitchen Area, 2 Foyers, 4 Restrooms and Offices. Also, The Church at Jackson has partnered with RISE ABOVE KATRINA, a non-profit organization of hope created to help those affected by Hurricanes Katrina and Rita, allowing its headquarters to be on the church campus. Under the leadership of Elder Lionel Joseph Traylor and his lovely wife, Lady LaShawn Yvonne Traylor, Church at Jackson is on the cutting edge of what God is doing in the city of Jackson. Come and join us as we endeavor to "Spread the Gospel, from the Gulf State to the Globe!!"
About the Pastor
Reverend Lionel Joseph Traylor is the husband of one wife and the father of eight children. Born in the city of New Orleans, LA. into a Christian family, Elder Traylor is a Third Generation Apostolic Preacher. Elder Traylor was filled with the Holy Ghost on his 12th birthday. At the age of 14 Elder Traylor left the church. At the age of 20 Elder Traylor was shot and left for dead with his best friend lying dead on top of him. After finally telling the Lord yes to His will in 1997, Elder Traylor and his wife LaShawn join The Church of the Apostolic Faith (now The Church At New Orleans) in New Orleans, LA., where Dr. Kevin J. Boyd Sr. is the Pastor. There, Elder Traylor rededicated his life to the Lord and his wife followed. Under Dr. Boyd's teaching and mentorship Elder Traylor flourished to a powerful preacher and praise leader. Elder Traylor filled many positions in his home church, becoming an ordained minister in 2001 and an ordained Elder in 2006. Now, Elder Lionel Joseph Traylor, affectionately called Reverend L.J., is a highly requested speaker and revivalist. His ministry is revelent for today and has a powerful impact on the youth of today. Along with Lady LaShawn Yvonne Traylor, Reverend L.J. leads an exciting, firey, growing congregation here at The Church At Jackson.
