Tablerock Community Church is a newly established church that was founded and established Sunday, February 17, 2008 to have the first worship service on February 24, 2008. If you are looking for a place to worship our Lord Jesus Christ in an atmosphere of acceptance where grace is extended to all who have made Jesus Christ their Lord, we will be glad to include you into our Chistian fellowship. Tablerock Community Chuch is an interdenominational and independent Church of the Christian faith. We recognize all believers in our Lord Jesus Christ and have an open "Table of the Lord" for all to receive communion with us each Sunday and on special occasions. We receive and practice all modes of Christian baptism as an act of faith in Jesus and accept into our membership all believers in our Lord Jesus Christ who may serve in capacities of ministry and leadership regardless of race, color,or gender. The congregation of Tablerock is made up of some of the finest people to ever live and serve the Lord Jesus Christ. The spirital bond and unity through mutual love and respect has brought about joy and strength in serving Jesus. Each family of Tablerock has a color print picture of Jesus Laughing and a large print is displayed in the church. Tablerock Community Church is a place of joy and much happiness. The church is presently meeting in the "4 J Building" located on West Hwy 413 (.5 mile west of Reeds Spring)and has plans to have a building of their own in the future.
R C "Happy" Hopper is a Stone County Missouri native. However, he was raised in the Texas panhandle due to his parents moving there where his father was employed by an oil refinery in Borger which allowed him to meet his high school sweetheart from Pampa. He is a gaduate of West Texas State Univesity in Canyon, TX, Southwestern Christian University in Oklahoma City, and has done some seminary extension work. Before coming to Tablerock Community Chuch, he pastored 3 churches in Texas, 2 in Kansas, and one other in Missouri which had been closed for almost 5 years and set all time records in attendance and finances during his six year pastorate there. He was the founding pastor of Faith Tabernacle, an interdenominational church in Liberal, KS which became the 6th largest of 37 churches at the time in the southwest Kansas town with an average attendance of 326 and a record attendance of 482 on Easter Sunday 1985. Happy was the host of his own cable TV show from 1971 to mid-1974 and served as an evangelist to churches in 24 states for 17 years. RC has made guest appearances on Christian television in Denver, CO, Kansas City, and Oklahoma City. He is a songwriter of over 500 songs and has written a melody for various verses of the Bible in every chapter of Psalms, Proverbs, Ecclesiastes, Song of Songs, Revelation, and numerous other scriptures. He is also a well known folk singer of historical songs and ballads in the area and is involved in many activities of the community. R C is married to his high school sweetheart and they have four adult childen, and two grandchilden. Both R C and Cecilia have served the Reeds Spring public schools as paraprofessionals in special education for over 17 years. They are well known to the area and also served the Adventure Club where Cecilia was the Administrator and Director(latch key before / after school) school age child care program for over 14 years until June 2006. R C sings and plays at Tequila's, a restaurant in Branson West each Friday from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM as well as on Sundays in Flat Creek Resort / Restaurant near Cape Fair from 12:30 PM to 3:00 PM and at special events in the Reeds Spring Pizza Company.
