Crawford Temple Chuch of God in Christ was founded April 2000 under the leadership of Elder James E. Crawford. After the death of his former Pastor Dr. C.C. Davis. Elder Crawford served as Assistant Pastor of Greater Metropolitan COGIC for over 30 years. After the death of his pastor the Lord called him to Pastor Crawford Temple COGIC. Bishop P.A. Brooks installed Crawford Temple COGIC into the Northeast Michigan Jurisdiction in June of 2000. Crawford Temple was in the Philadelphia District under the leadership of the late Superintendent Samuel L. Jones. In 2005, Bishop P.A. Brooks appointed Elder James E. Crawford, Superintendent of the Lighthouse District. His District Missionary is Evangelist Remona Benjamin.
