Faith Tabernacle Community Church has truly come this far by faith and without a doubt has lived up to its name. The church was founded and established by a man of faith named Elder Horace W. Pritchett, Jr. Elder Pritchett started out with a Word from God, a vision, his lovely wife and family and a handful of members. Our journey as a congregation began on August 5, 2001 in Clayton, New Jersey. It poured down raining that day - who would have known that rainy day would come to represent the many showers of blessings God had in store for us. Pastor Pritchett, is a man chosen by God to build Him a church. Matthew 16:18 "And I say also unto thee, that thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it."
In October 2005, Elder Pritchett and Reverend Cooper took a trip to Georgia to aid the victims of hurricane Katrina. On December 13, 2005, the Pastor, Deacon Stephan Lawson, Deacon Kenneth Farmer, Bro. Lenny Smith and Bro. Nelson Feagin took another trip down south to St. Joseph, Louisiana to aid the victims of hurricane Katrina. The Pastor made a petition to the church for help; the people came together and supported the cause. The church property was used as the drop off point for donated items. Thank God for the support of the members and the community. The Mayor of St. Joseph, Louisiana has officially declared December 15th Faith Tabernacle Community Church Day.
