About our outreach
Hello, my dear friends, (from Johnny & Sylvia Stallings) I wanted to take a moment and tell you about the outreach that God has laid upon my heart. For years my wife Sylvia and I have been in street ministry & homeless outreach. We plan to greatly expand in this ministry. Let me explain, I have an old truck that I am going to transform into a traveling pulpit. I am going to build a platform on the back of the truck over the bed. This way when we go out and preach it will put us at a height to be seen by more people. What I need is a sound system, I have seen some of what I need on e-bay for only a few hundred dollars. If any of you that know me personally, you know that this is a great amount to me. As I am a full time evangelist & it takes so much to keep the ministry, and my family going that any extra puts us in a great bind. So please join with us in prayer in this matter. In experience when we go out and preach we usually start by feeding, & handing out socks & toboggans to the homeless. Let me get back to our experience, which is when we preach, and sing on the streets we draw quiet a crowd. Some people have trouble hearing us, so the sound system is greatly needed. Also I am sure there may be others in the general area that could hear us also ( they would not all have to gather directly around us ). On the platform on the back of the pickup truck will be a pulpit, keyboard, microphones & stands, the sound system, and the speakers will be on stands to make them even higher so the sound will have a even greater effect. Under the platform will be a storage place for blankets, clothes, socks t5oboggins, and food. So as you now have a idea of the importance of this outreach please call us out to Jesus in prayer daily.
