Missions Program of Church

This church was started in 1958, by American Missionary ladies now of blessed memory (Pauline Smith and Adeline Wichman, but never had resident pastors till 1973 and 1991. The first pastor left the area due to difficulties in the field. Now we are going from an original number of 23 to 102 people, and growing. We are engaged in Missions in partnership with the Christian Outreach Fellowship, and the Ghana Institute of Literacy, Linguistic and Bible Translation (GILLBT.)Rev. Jonah & Keziah Kwotua are Missionaries with the Christian outreach Fellowship. With training from COF, the following Churches Churches and Outstations were planted: - Sakaa, Kajelo, Mirigu, Gomongo and Kajelo. While COF and her partners (Partners International)concern themselves with training their missionary and his team for evangelization of the Kasena/Nankana area, GILLBT is concerned about translating the Word of God into Kasem, the mother tongue of the area, and developing listeracy skills of the people. Matthew Adondiwor, Peter Nawurise and Samuel Akware are our lay workers assigned to these areas, while Rev. James Wechu handling our Kajelo Chuch. Rev. Jonah is also the Kasem Old Testament Coordinator, and leads a team of Mother Tongue translators and reviewers who are supervised by GILLBT to attempt giving the Kasena a complete Bible of their own.

Social Action

The Church is also engaged in social action in partnership with AGREDS. The Assemblies of God Relief and Development Services, is an agency of the Assemblies of God, Ghana. They gave Trainer of Trainer course to two staff of this Church. Pastor Jonah Kwotua and Sis. Elizabeth Mba-Boateng. They are currently engaged in educating the people of the Paga traditional area and beyond on the HIV/AIDS pandemic. Though the Paga A/G (Liberty Worship Centre has been around, it is now suffering identity crisis, as it battles against Islam, ignorance disease and poverty. We are constantly exploring ways through prayer to better the situation of the congregation, so they can serve Christ better. We hope to celebrate our 50th Anniversary by the ending of November 2008. Please pray with us to give our community portable water, which they need seriously. If you want to partner with us to reach the lost for Jesus, please contact us on phone, or through the e-mail address in this write-up. The Rev. Jonah Kwotua and staff of the church will be glad to hear from you.
