Our Doctrinal and Spiritual moorings are those of classical Anglicanism- "Reformed according to the principles of the Ancient Catholic Church". These principles are derived from The Great Ecumenical Councils of the Undivided Church of the first Millenium, including the Creeds, Liturgies, and Teachings of the Church Fathers. The Nicene Creed is our statement of Faith; and the Apostle's Creed is our Baptismal Covenant. "See to it that you teach nothing. . .which you would have religiously held and believed by the people, save what is agreeable to the teaching of the Old or New Testament, and what the Catholic fathers and ancient bishops have collected from this self-same doctrine." -from The Canons of the Church of England, 1571 We encourage a balanced charismatic parish life in a Classical Anglican expression. In terms of the Charismatic, we follow the words of St. Ambrose- "Let Us Drink the Sober Intoxication of the Holy Spirit with Joy!" We adhere to Traditional Family Values and Biblical Orthodoxy without apology. Authorized for worship, is the Book of Common Prayer (BCP) 1928 and 1979, and the Anglican Service Book (ASB). The Divine Offices are from the Book of Common Prayer, Daily Office Book, Anglican Service Book and the Traditional St. Augustine's Prayer Book. Other recommended resources are the Anglican Breviary, the Monastic Diurnal, and the Franciscan Office Book (Anglican).
