Who We Are
The Greater Philadelphia Baptist Church was fouded by ev. Dr. Joseph . ogers, Sr. ad irst Lady, Lola V. ogers o April 1, 1995. It was through much meditatio ad prayer that the Lord Jesus Christ impressed upo the hearts of these servats to establish a place of Worship. By the grace of the Lord ad guidace of the Holy Ghost a child was bor: "The Greater Philadelphia Missioary Baptist Church, Ic.". O the fourth Suday i October of 1996 the first worship service was held at the Clayto Middle School, 407 Guy oad, Clayto, North Carolia. At this first service about te persos were i attedace. The Lord has cotiued to blessed the fellowship with ew disciples. I August of 2000 the church family purchased 2.4 acres of property with a church buildig already o it, located at 1428 Carolia Pies Aveue, aleigh, North Carolia 27603. The Church family gives the God all the praise, glory ad hoor for this woderful blessig. If it had ot bee for the Lord this blessig would ot have come to pass. I the immediate future the fellowship is movig ahead to secure a "Child Care & Developmet Ceter" to assist paret i the urturig ad developmet of their childre. We're also developig a Outreach Miistry J&L), for the sole purpose of miiterig to the commuity. This miistry was grated its 501 c) 3 o-exempt status from the Iteral eveue Service.
