It seems much like an exquisite work of art executed by supered hands of Nature and indeed a state of exquisite natural beauty and splendor. Manipur is a state that has earned the admiration of people far and wide, and a state that has capture the fascination of great men and common men alike. The then governor general of India, lord Irwin impressed so much by the beauty of Manipur, and nick- name the state as the "Switzerland of India", Mrs.St. Cliar Grimwood described it as "A Pretty more beautiful than many show places of the world". The first prime Minister of India Jawaharlal Nehru referred to as the "Jewel of the east". this is an oval shaped valley surrounded by blue green hills and rich in art, culture and tradition. Having proud history from earliest times, Manipur was princely kingdom. after Anglo-Manipur war British rule as princely state. After Independence of India in 1947, the princely state Manipur was merged to the Indian union on October,15,1949 and became a full-fledged state on the 21st January 1972. Manipur consist of hills and valleys with the population of 27,63,477 including Meitei population in Myanmar, Bangladesh and neighboring states of Manipur. It is one of the state of India where located in the 10/40 window where2/3 rd of the unreached population are living. Presently majority of the Meiteis are followers of the Hinduism while small section of Meiteis still practicing their tradition and ancient religion like ancestor worshiping. The Hinduism came to Manipur during the reign of king Charairongba in 1704 and later in 1717 king Garabaniwas who also known as Pamheiba centralized the Meiteis into Hiduism. T The Meiteis are a community with a glorious history, tradition, cultures and legacy that back to 33 A.D. parallel to the very crucifixion of the lord Jesus Christ.As these result Meiteis are consider to be superior race in comparison to Christian community that inhabit the hill districts of Manipur. So when the tribal send missionaries, Meiteis do not pay much heed or importance to the gospel. So there is in need of Native Mission for the dream to be reaped. Because of these reasons the complete evangelization of Meiteis still remain a distance and elusive dream. History is a witness to the fact that the missionary work of the various churches and denominations of the hill people have not reaped the desire results, which is quite evident from the fact that there are still so many to be reached. THE MANIPURI BIBLE CHURCHES & MISSIONS The Lord called and gave the burden of witnessing to the Meietis and proclaiming the gospel. Not just spreading but spreading it effectively so that it takes a strong root on its own. Out of that common burden was born a vision -vision build on hope, faith and love. Hope that Manipur could be evangelized , bonded together by the common love for Jesus and faith in lord Jesus. That vision took the form of "The Manipuri Bible Churches & Missions" which was started as Native Mission from the year 2002 after many rounds of thoughts, prayer and deliberations. The MBC&M launched and still running on faith. It started on a humble scale with one purpose ,one aim and one goal. THE MISSIONS "To reach the unreached and lead souls to Jesus" having learned from the history and past experience, we have adopted a novel strategy to accomplish the entrusted mission, the sole purpose for which the MBC&M came into existence which is to send, deploy and use native Christian to go and witness to their fellow brothers and sisters within and beyond. The another purpose is to "unify the Meitei Christians belonging to various denominations and churches to a common platform under one banner" as the fulfillment of the prayer of lord Jesus in John 17:21 "unity among the brethren". It is indigenous and however interdenominational. AIMS & OBJECTIVES:- 1. To preach the gospel of Jesus Christ to all the people and bring them to Him. 2. To train believers in the word of God and make disciples, 3. Planting mission minded and biblical churches for the growth of Christian life and fellowship and for the extension of God's kingdom. 4. To engage in humanity services on biblical basis and putting into practice the Christian love in action, etc. TARGET PEOPLE The target people are Manipuri Hindus and Muslims who are inhabited in the north eastern region and neighboring countries. Target population: a) Manipur (as per census 2001) 2,388,636 Less Tribal Christian 6,26,669 ___________________ Manipuri Meiteis and Muslims: 1,76,1970 b) Nagaland - - - - (approx) 15,000 c) Assam - - - - (approx) 2,10,139 d) Tripura - - - - (approx) 45,971 e) Myanmar - - - - (approx) 35,478 f) Bangaladesh (Census 2002) 45,971 _____________________________________________________ Total Target People 21,18,322 The achievement of different Churches and Missions working among Manipuries within Manipur state: churches and missions sending 518 workers and there are 14,308 Christians among Meiteis. There are 2391 villages excluding towns in Manipur and 285 of mostly villages and towns are reached. There are 9 districts and Meiteis and Muslims are thickly inhabited in the valley districts, Imphal east and west dist. Bisnupur and Thoubal. 47.51% of population are Bellow Poverty line. The main occupations are cultivation and fishing. Meiteis -the native of Manipur,are still living in darkness. So Christianity as a religion is yet to find a strong hold among the Meitei community. Evangelization of Meiteis is still remain a distance and elusive dream. History is a witness to the fact tha still so many to be reached. So such native mission is being needed to carry on the evangelizing task among these heathen Meiteis. We the MBCM took up the challenge reaching the un-reached with empty hand yet nothin is impossible with God. PROGRAMMES AND ACTIVITIES 1. Mission department:- a) Evangelism b) Pastoral ministry c) Outreach programmes d) Organizing seminars, bible camps and workshop Christian education e) Publication of Christian literatures f) Survey the fields 2. church planting department:- a) Follow up ministry b) Planting churches for and among newly converted. c) Holistic ministry d) Upliftment - love in action programmes. 3.General Administration department:- a) Monitoring b) Assessment and researching c) Implementation of year planner d) General conference e) Training and deputation f) Fund raising g) Accounts h) Public relationship i) Assists and properties The lord is faithfully leading the mission which is very much still in its stage of infancy. With the help from well wishers from un-expected quarters, the MBCM is trudging slowly towards its goal. We can only hope that we will grow from strength to strength as we set forth to achieve our mission in a cold and unfriendly world. This mission may seem like an impossible task, but we know that "Nothing is Impossible with God". We take up this challenge in the name of the lord and trust that the will lead and enable us to reach the very purpose and goal. MBCM launch its mission with faith. With pleasure, we humbly request all well-wishers to uphold and pray for these precious souls and ministry among these un-reach people. Your prayer and efforts will be a great help to this ministry as we set forth to save the un-saved and to reach the un-reached. PATNERSHIP IN MISSION:- Mission is the heart of God. The heart of God yearns for the return of the lost sinners. In order to fulfill the mission of God, there's a great need of tight partnership in the gospel as we found in Luke 5:7. Partnership in the ministry is a powerful biblical principle. There are many works to be done now and in the days ahead. Box, 49, Tiddim Rd, CCpur, Manipur-795128, India "HOPE FOR THE NATIONS" WITNESSING UNTO ALL THE NATIONS Reaching the Unreached March to May 2006 `ye shall be my witnesses … even unto the utter most part of the world'. Acts.1: 8. We praise God that in a vary humble and small scall the MBC&M is being leaded to launch it's missions to His glory towards the fulfillment of the YEAR-PLANNER 2006. work that are done:- 1] Gospel camp on 15 to 18 March at Thanga in partner with MEBCC ,Thanga for 100 peoples was conducted. Mr. N.Premjit Singh MBCM was the main speaker. with the help and prayers from well wishers such camp was successed. 5 peoples accepted Jesus as their savior and 8 peoples renewed their commitment to the Lord. FIELD AREA :- The present fields where MBC&M is working are:- CCpur town area, and Torbung, CCpur District Thanga, Bisnupur District Changangei, Air Port, Imphal. Where personal contact and sharing, Home Visitation, Cottage prayer meetings and Fellowships are being conducted in reaching the unreached. One Marawari Family name Brazaranga Sharma was converted on 10 May at CCpur. Two families were liberated from demons at Thanga at Aprill and May. Bosana from Changangei was heal and blessed to normal life from up-normal. we invite peoples and Churches to have common fellowship and organizing to fulfill the Vision of Unity among the Brethren. we are weak yet God is faithful in leading us to fulfill His work. So we thank God who enable and blesses us for His Glory. We want to say as Apostle Paul said " I can do all things in Christ Jesus who strengthen me." More over we thank to all the families of this burden and vision to be done, who always pray and support for these precious souls and this humble ministry to glorify our living God in this cool corner of the world. we alone are helpless like a baby so please pray for us and ministry that we are carried on. In a small scale the year planned 2005 had been wonderfully fulfilled by His faithfulness. Inspite of our weakness and poor but by His leading this very enfant ministry towards reaching the unreached and mobilizing the native Christian to realize their responsibility of unity in world evangelism. These are the core of the service of what the MBC&M is rendering We thank all who prayerfully support this enfant ministry. We know that because of the prayer of saints this sinful world is still receiving His grace. so let us cry to our loving father like a little baby and let us do the same for our generation. There are millions of people who have not reached with good news of lord Jesus Christ. Let us join to shine with the light of the gospel among these heathens and bring them to the feet of lord Jesus. REACHING THE UNREACHED MBCM dedicate with the burden to witness in reaching the unreached. Home crusades and Mass reaching were conducted at Changangei and Malom Mission Fields, Imphal, and Torbung bangala, Churanchanpur.By God's grace 450 houses were being reached with the gospel tracts and personal sharings. At Changangei one of the field, two missionaries continuing evangelizing task. Yet this field need your prayerful support to promote missionary activities. we are praying two missionaries to send at Torbung Bangala where home crusades and mass reaching had been conducted and to continue follow-up ministry. These fields are neglected area in missionary service. We praise God that two families had been converted and two persons, Mr.N.Binoy singh and Miss. N.Pricila chanu were baptized on 4/12/05.we are crying to God with tears of whimper to bless these preciouse souls and to open more Mission field and more missionary activities in the year to cime.so kindly pray for us. BUILDING THE KINGDOM TOGATHER The OBI Conference serve and help the native Christians who are in denominational boundaries to see the window of unity in world evangelization. MBCM interest not only in reaching the unreached but also to mobilize and encourage Christians to the spirit of unity - unity build the kingdom MBCM conducted inter and involve inter-churches fellowship. We are weak and poor but because of the faithfulness of the lord we could celebrated the third foundation day gladly. The task that the lord gave us with the challenge is so big, is therefore we request you to uphold this enfant ministry in this cold corner of the world. We thank all who pray for these precious souls and support this ministry . we thank to Rev.C.V. John,the inspiring Consultant who guide and help us to stand and shout to this cool corner among theses heathen. As we share together to God be the glory . HARVEST IS PLENTY As the lord leads with a challenge we pray for His blessing in the year 2006.we know that it is God who call and entrusted to be His witnesses and winning souls for Christ. so we include to the saying of William Carry `attempt a great thing for God, Expect a great thing from God'. We trust the lord and He will do for His own glory. We know that a journey of miles begins with just one small step of trust. Nothing in our hand but simply cling to the cross.
