Greetings in the Name of Our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, we the Pastor and members of Mt. Salem are delighted that you have visted our website. God is doing GREAT things and he is still Blessing and perfoming Miracles. The Lord has BLESSED this church tremendously and we give him ALL the glory and ALL the praise because it is he alone that is worthy and able to do such WONDERFUL things. At the end of 2006, I informed you that God had given me a vision to expand his house and to undergo a new worship facility, WELL HE HAS AGAIN, PROVEN HIMSELF TO BE A GOD OF HIS WORD. The NEW worship facilty has been erected. WE PRAISE GOD FOR THE PROMISE!!! Completion Date is set for April 25, 2007 and Dedication will be the entire first week of May. Please continue to be prayful for this ministry. We Love our community and we want to be able to share the vision with all of God's Children. The Bible clearly states, "Where there is no VISION, the people PERISH." And we are a church that is trying to carry out the Mission of our Lord. We believe that the priorities of the church are to EXALT THE SAVIOUR, EQUIP THAT SAINTS, and EVANGELIZE the SINNERS. We also believe that there are 5 purposes of the church: Love the Lord, Love your Neighbor as Yourself, Go & Make Disciples, Baptize them, and Teach them to Obey!! Our Prayer is that Souls will be SAVED and that the Lord our God be EXALTED. We BLESS YOU IN THE NAME OF OUR LORD AND PRAY HIS PEACE AND PROTECTION OVER YOU!! In Christ, PASTOR MELVIN BUFFORD We Dedicate this page to one of the faithful members of this ministry, Mr. Eddie Joy, who passed in March of this year. He was a great asset to Mt. Salem, serving as a trustee, christian education director, male chorus member, and a member of the planning committe for the new worship facility. He loved his church and diligently served. He always told us in song with the Male Chorus, that, "IF I LABOUR, GOD IS GONNA GIVE ME A CROWN." We believe that he has received his GOLDEN CROWN and now singing in the HEAVENLY CHORUS. Rest in the bossom of the Lord in Peace Eddie. WE LOVE AND MISS YOU!
