1. The Bible: Gods revelation to man, its authority and finality, mens only rule of faith and practice. 2. The Christ: The only begotten Son of God, mans only Savior and Lord. 3. The Church: The true tabernacle which the Lord pitched, and not man. 4. The Gospel: The pwer of God unto salvation, its proclamation and defense. 5. The Unity of Christian Believers: In the the "unity of the faith" as prescribed in the New Testament. 6. The Fellowship: Of brethren of "like precious faith" in the furtherance of the gospel and the building of Christian Churches according to the Biblical pattern. OUR BEGINNING The church was called into existence A.D.30, on the first Pentecost after the resurrection of Jesus Christ (The Acts of the Apostles has the record) and the the Christian Church in Carson is a functioning member of that Body, whose Head is Christ. Although this church officially began in March 1950, undenominational Christian Churches started in the United States since the early turn of nineteenth century, which members number close to three million in North America alone and still increasing every day in all countries of the world, as "the Lord added to their number daily those who are being saved. OUR DOCTRINAL PRACTICES 1. The New Testament Baptism, which is by immersion (Romans 6:4, Galatians 3:27). 2. The New Testament Communion (Lords Supper), which is a weekly appointment (Acts 20:7) partaken "in remembrance of" Christs death (I Corinthians 11:25). 3. The Church is supported by the members proportionate giving (tithes and offerings - I Corinthians 16:1-3). 4. Undenominatinal and independent in its congregational and autonomous form of government, which is under the leadership of Elders and Deacons (I Timothy 3:1-13). 5. The Church has always expressed its worship celebration in "psalms, hymns and spiritual songs" (Colossians 3:16) with a wide variety of music, both vocal and instrumental. 6. We practice the "Priesthood of all believers" (I Peter 2:5) in the ministry to serve and bring glory to Christ. HOW MAY ONE BECOME A MEMBER OF THE CHRISTIAN CHURCH 1. Have faith in Christ (Acts 16:31; Romans 10:17; Hebrews 11:6) 2. Repent of sins (Acts 2:38; 17:30) 3. Make your confession of faith (Romans 10:9-10; I Timothy 6:12) 4. Be baptized into Christ (Acts 2:38, 8:38, 22:16) EACH MEMBER IS EXPECTED TO: 1. Continue to live the Christian life devoted wholeheartedly in - a. The Apostles Teaching. b. The Church Fellowship and Ministries. c. Partaking of the Lords Supper every first day of the week. d. Praying without ceasing in a worshipful manner. 2. Support and serve the church with his or her time, talent, and possessions, all dedicated for the glory of God in Christ Jesus. 3. Commit to obey the Greates Commandment and the Great Commission.
