In all religious expression special attention is given to gender respect and neutrality in expressing language for god. A Church that embraces all We are a church that includes and affirms the identities and experiences of all Gods people. We are a church of people of colour, the LGBT community, Catholics and Protestants, female and male. We are a welcome home for those who have traditionally been marginalized by the church. What our structure looks like. The EACC is divided into three house system: House of Bishops, House of Clergy and House of Laity. Responsibilities for leadership, organizational support, outreach and ministry are entrusted to the membership of all three houses. With the help of the council of advice being from all three houses. Our sacraments are valid and offered to all of the people of god with respect for the diversity of creation as the cornerstone of Gods lavish love and welcome for creation. Respect + we have respect for all of Gods creation and we embrace Gods Genesis acclamation: God looked at everything that he had made and saw that it was good (Gen 1:31), Christian unity does not grow from agreement but instead from respect for our differences. Diversity + we believe that Gods creation story expresses and reveals a rich tapestry of differences and beauty. We recognize that by embraces diversity we encounter a fuller expression of God. Inclusion + we affirm a re-emerging scriptural tradition that instructs us that Gods table must be open to all the people of God. We practice inclusion with all expression of Gods creation: race, sex, age, culture, gender, sexual orientation and faith journey. Welcome + we have a lavish unconditional welcome for all the people of God and we seek to create sacred places for the people of God and within the people of God. We are an Evangelical people. We believe that no one is excluded from the love of God through Jesus Christ. Our mission is founded in the expression of this good news- All of us are called to return to Gods embrace and to recognize Gods unconditional love. We seek to preach and practice Gods words of love and grace for all. We are an Anglo-catholic people: we believe in scripture, tradition, and reason but are open to all expressions of religion. Scripture: we affirm Holy Scripture as an expression of Gods unconditional love for us and we recognize that these teachings are spiritual bread for our journeys with God and one another. Tradition: we affirm a history of relationship with God a communal experience. Reason: we affirm God given reason and the wisdom that can be expressed when the Holy Spirit allows us to review scripture, tradition and our experiences to find answers and to seek a fuller conscious.
