Salvation The Bible Way Acknowledge Your Sins - Romans 3:23 FIRST, See yourself a sinner- Sin is tragic, vile blights, degrades, destroys: "The soul that sinneth, it shall die." For the wages of sin is death: but the gift of God is eternal life." Cry out like the publican, "God be merciful to me a sinner." Repent - Acts 3:19 Second, You must reprent; be truly sorry for your sin. Like the prodigal son, see the awfulness of it, and then repent of it. The Bible declares Godly sorrow worketh repentenance. Jesus said, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish. Confess - I John 1:9 Third, Confess your sins; not to men, preachers or priests, but to God. "With the mouth confession is made unto salvation." David said, "I will confess my transgression unto the Lord, thou forgavest the iniquity of my sins."
Synopsis of What We Believe
We believe in one God omnipotent, omniscient, omnipresent, the creator, sustainer of the Universe, revealing himself to us in his word as Father, Son and Holy Ghost (Spirit). We belive the Holy Bible to be the inerrant, infallible living and abiding word of God, revealing the character, will and mind of God, disclosing his plan for the universe and man, the crown of his creation. We believe that through the sin of Adam, the first man, all mankind is under a curse of sin and death, and is only saved through the atonement of Jesus Christ (The Last Adam). We believe that through Jesus Christ we have wisdom, righteousness, sanctification and redemption. We also have through him, all of the temporal provisions for our physical life, including healing of the body and mind and all material needs. We believe that the church is the body of Christ; Therefore, every Christian must identify with the church. We believe in the sacraments of Water Baptism and Holy Communion. We believe in the indwelling power of the Holy Ghost, enduing and empowering believers to speak in tongues and imparting divers gifts to the members of the body of Chrsit. We believe in the final judgement, with the resurrection of the righteous to eternal bliss, and the wicked to eternal damnation.
