Faith Baptist Church was founded in 1983 by several military familes who were stationed at Fort Hood, Tx. Mary Ann Teachout made a motion that we call our ministry Faith Baptist. It was unanimously approved. We were initially assisted by Dr. L. Duane Brown. He recommended we contact Galliean Baptist Mission to help provide us with a full time missionary pastor. Pastor Gardner made a visit to Copperas Cove. The church was led to extend a call to Pastor Gardner. This past year Faith Baptist disbanded, but there are many memories of the ministry which shall only be realized when we arrive in glory.
