BREIF HISTORY
In the great year of 1976, Guiding Light Church Of God In Christ was founded by our beloved the late Supt. Arthur J. Adams and Mo. Corene Wade-Adams. After the homegoing our our Founder Supt. Arthur J. Adams, our Jurisdictional leader Bishop H.J. Williams, of the North Central Jurisdiction of Michigan installed Elder Victor B. Adams, Sr. as Pastor. He, under the anointing of the Holy Ghost and a vision from God, is leading the people of Guiding Light to higher heights in the Lord.
In the year of 2010 we are celebrating this our 34th Year Church Anniversary, and 9th Pastoral Anniversary. We invite you to join us in the activities and services that are being planned. An anniversary service will be held Sunday, June 27, 2010 - 5pm at the Church located at G-5230 Detroit St., Flint. A pocket calendar of our events scheduled for year 2010 can be obtained for a donation to our Building Fund. We shall honor our Pastor and Wife in a 9th year Pastoral Anniversary - Sept. 16th thru the 19th, 2010..
Pastor Adams currently serves the North Central Jurisdicition of Michigan COGIC under the leadership of Bishop H. J. Williams, as the State Executive Treasurer and President of the Youth Department.
Mo. Corene Wade-Adams is the Jurisdictional Supervisor for the Department of Women within the same Jurisdication.
We serve with Supt. B. Grundy and the Joshua District. Mo. Candy Richardson is the District Missionary and also the Flint Regional Teamleader for the State Dept. of Women.

Sun. Feb. 21, 2010 - 5 p.m.
Building Fund Musical featuring guests from the area including the Flint Southernaires, The Angelic Tones, and the Adams Memorial Choir. We also invite you to join the North Central Jurisdiction of Michigan Church Of God In Christ as we celebrate 10 years of Excellent Service rendered by Mother Corene Wade-Adams as the Jurisdictional Supervisor of Women. A dinner will be held on Thursday, April 1, 2010 at the Holiday Inn Gateway Centre on Hill Rd, Flint, MI.
If you are in the area on Sundays between 12:30 and 4:00 p.m. Stop by the church and enjoy a buffet dinner with a variety of menu items - your dinner purchase is a donation to our Building Fund.
