A Quick History Lesson

The Late, +Joseph Patrick Napurano, elevated to bishop by His Grace, Archbishop Facione (Ultrajectine Tradition), created an independant jurisdiction entitled "The Anglo-Catholic Diocese of St. John the Divine", and placed the Seat of the Sea in Little Egg Harbor, NJ. USA.
Invited to Canada for a conference in 1991 by His Grace, Archbishop Mullan (Christ Catholic Church, Niagara Falls Ont.) he attended the blessing of the newly renovated Chapel of the Holy Spirit, at the headquarters of the Volunteers for Christ, under the guidance of Bro. Paul Ferrier (RIP). During that visit +Joseph Napurano met David F. Milne, and the process began to see to ordaing him to the priesthood.
On Friday October 21 at 12 Noon, +Joseph Napurano ordained David to the Order of Deacon in Hamilton, and on Friday October 23, 1992 at 7:30 p.m., in the Chapel of the Holy Spirit, within the headquarters of the Volunteers for Christ, David was ordained to the Order of Priest and created Pastor of Our Lady, Queen of Peace,Hamilton,Ont.
18 months latter the Jurisdiction joined with the Anglican Episcopal Diocese South, under His Grace, +Francis Benning of Atlanta and +Joseph Napurano became Asst to +Francis Benning.
A falling out, of sorts, left the priests of the jurisdiction with the choice to either leave with +Joseph Napurano or remain with +Francis Benning. After discussions in Hamilton, the parish decided to remain for a time with +Francis Benning. (NOTE: On March 5th, 1997 at 10:00 a.m. (roughly), in Little Egg Harbor, NJ, while returning from chemo treatment, +Joseph Patrisk Napurano and his sister we both killed in a traffic accident, 3/4 of a mile from home. He and his sister were interred at Ocean County Memorial Pk., Toms River, NJ. USA. (Eternal Rest grant unto themm Oh Lord).)
Two year latter, after being appointed chaplin for the GLBLT community of Hamilton, +Francis Benning excardinated Fr. David from the Jurisdiction and for the next 2 years there was no Ordinary for the Parish.
Following up on the recommendation of a fellow priest, Fr. David and the parish community joined with the OLD Catholic Church under Archbishop David Thomson. The date was October 23, 1997, Fr. Davids 5th anniversay of ordination.
After permitting a female to be raised to a priest under the jurisdiction of +David Thomson, Fr. David left the Jurisdiction and after bouncing between a few other prelates he setlled with His Grace, Archbishop Boniface Grosvold, the ORCC-Latin Rite. Fr. David assumed the title of Monsignor and Master of Ceremonies, along with continuing his duties as pastor of OLQP in Hamilton.
Between +David Thomson and +Boniface Grosvold, Fr. David came into possession of the ORCC-English Rite, once held by the late Archbishop Robert Burns and the Late Archbishop Andrew Johnston Cantrell. (+Cantrell was succceded by Archbishop +Facione who consecrated the late +Joseph Patrick Napurano).
Several Asst deacons and priests have come and gone, wanting to become members of the Jurisdiction, but following an enquiry by the NCICB, it was suggested that Fr. David was not legally consecrated after presenting documents proclaiming such. During the enquiry, +Wilson Sehorn, an Orthodox Prelate accepted Fr. Davids consecration and appointed him Vicar of the Western Rite. +Wilson had planned to sub-conditionally consecrate Fr. David, but a situation developed that made the option difficult.
In early summer a new deacon arrivied but quickly changed authorities as he felt that Fr. David could not supply ordination to him. To change that, Archbishop Boniface Grosvold, of the ORCC-Latin Rite offered for the third time to consecrate FR.David on Friday July 29th, in London,Ont. When a problem regarding neighbours was presented, and the option of doing the ceremony at OLQP was presented, it was declined as the Archbishop wanted to host.
On Saturday July 30, 2005 at 1:00 pm in London, Ontario, His Grace, Archbishop Boniface Grosvold STD elevated Fr. David Francis Milne to the Office of Bishop. As of that moment Bp. David became officially the Presiding Bishop & Ordinary for the ORCC-English Rite-In Canada. APOSTOLIC SUCCESSION Archbishop Gerard Gul (1847 to 1920), Old Roman Catholic Archbishop of Utrecht, the Netherlands, on 28 April 1908 consecrated Arnold Harris Mathew (1852 to 1919) the Old Roman Catholic bishop of Great Britain. On 29 June 1913 Bishop Mathew consecrated. Prince Rudolphe F.E. de Landas Berghes (1873 to 1920) as missionary bishop to Scotland. In November of 1914 Bishop de Landas Berghes emigrated to the USA where in 1916 he established the North American Old Roman Catholic Church. On 4 October 1916 Bishop de Landas Berghes consecrated Carmel Henry Carfora (1878 to 1958) who in 1919 succeeded him as the second Archbishop of the North American Old Roman Catholic Church. Archbishop Carfora on 30 July 1942 consecrated Hubert Augustus Rogers (1887 to 1976) who served from 1946 to 1972 as the Old Roman Catholic Archbishop of New York. Archbishop Rogers on 21 September 1969 consecrated Edward Carleton Payne (born 1928) who in 1970 became Old Roman Catholic Archbishop of New England. On 20 July 1974 Archbishop Payne consecrated Boniface Grosvold, assisted by Archbishop William Mark Plested of the Old Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Ontario. On 30 July 2005 Archbishop Boniface Grosvold S.T.D., consecrated David Francis Milne as an Independant Bishop for the ORCC-English Rite-In Canada. NEWS EVENTs for the ORCC-English Rite-In Canada... Oh Come Let Us Adore Him

The Motto for the Diocese is " Faith and Charity, in Christ, Through Mary " The Motto for OLQP is " Oh Come let us adore Him "
Plans are underway to turn the chapel into a Chapel of Perpetual Adoration. Please pray that this very particular ministry, that calls each individual to a deeper relationship with Our Blessed Lord in the Eucharist, might succeed as we need this relationship in our world today.
Mass Requests can be made and if you wish a Mass said for a special Intention the donation requested is $5.00 per Mass (Daily Mass/Mon-Fri). A Mass request for Saturdays is $10.00 per Mass as it is already the Votive of the Blessed Virgin. A Mass request for a Sunday is $20.00. (Normally a Mass for the Parish Intentions).
You may also send your prayer intentions by e-mail and they will be entered into the Book of Intentions that sits beside the tabernacle 24/7 so that the requests are always before the Lord.
We are an inclusive community of faith based prayer, and we turn no person away who is seeking God in their lives, regardless of what that means to them. All needs are differant, as every person is differant. Prayer will draw us all closer to both God and each other.
Grace,Peace, and Blessings to you all.
