Diocesan Description

The Anglican Rite Diocese of the Pacific and Southwest is part of Christ's One Holy Catholic and Apostolic Church. It holds the "Faith once delivered to the saints" without compromise, default, or apology. It holds that the Church is the body of Christ, that is, the continuation of the Incarnation. The Faith of the Apostles is contained in the Holy Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments as interpreted by the Undivided Church set forth in the Apostles, Nicene and Athanasian Creeds, and the Dogmatic Acts of the Seven Ecumenial Councils. The Purpose of the Holy Catholic Church (Anglican Rite) is to perpetuate the Faith, Order, Worship and Witness of Western Catholicism as it existed in the Church of England from around 200 A.D., to the time of the Great Schism, and set forth by the "ancient catholic bishops and doctors," and especially as defined by the Seven Ecumenial Councils of the undivided Church.
