The Priesthood of ALL Believers
The Newport church of Christ is focused on proclaiming Gods grace to ALL people. The core group of believers live in Newport County and the surrounding area. We are blessed to have military men and women come to our congregation from all over the world!! Since the Newport church does not have a full-time minister, we indeed are the "priesthood of all believers." Everyone does everything!! Men volunteer their help to conducting church service, and our women are indeed dedicated to teaching the truths of the Bible to our children. We are a small community wanting to reach Aquidneck Island for Christ!!
Hospitality
Every first Sunday of the month is our Hospitality and Fellowship Day. After church service, we have a "pot-luck" dinner for all who come. (Bring a dish!!) Also, on the same Sunday at 1:30 those who want to encourage the Seniors at Forest Farm Senior Center sing to them!!
The Newport church of Christ is actively involved with the Newport County Inter-Faith Hospitality Network helping homeless people and families with shelter during their "homelessness."
