HISTORY
Mercy Faith Temple was founded by the late Superintendant Christopher Kirkwood along with his wife Mother Helen Kirkwood as a family church. Supt. Kirkwood fathered many Gospel preachers and gave many young men an opportunity to minister to Gods people and to expand their individual ministries. As a result many Pastors, Evangelists, and Teachers have their root from under this ministry. In 1984 Pastor Elder Joel Kirkwood accepted the mantle after his father went to Glory. He has taken Mercy Faith Temple into new dimensions and levels of achievement that could not have been imagined. The church has purchased a beautiful ediface worth one million dollars; but maintains the old landmarks in spirit.
MISSION and PURPOSE
The Mission of Mercy Faith Temple is to win souls for Christ through a family centered worship environment that will endeavour to Love people into the Kingdom. Our Purpose is to maintain a standard of Holiness by teaching and preaching righteousness and a Life free from Sin. " Righteousness Exalteth a Nation, but sin is a reproach to any people" Proverbs.
