CHURCH HISTORY
The New Salem Missionary Baptist Church was started in July of 1982 by the late Rev. C.B. Wallace in an old VFW building.God had given Rev. Wallace a vision he paid the first downpayment on the building 1.00 a step of Faith. The church grew and prospered. Under Rev.Wallace Ministry souls were added to the church. In February of 1997 our founder was called from labour to reward. he left a great legacy to the church after Rev. Wallace Homegoing. His brother the Rev. Don Wallace beacme pastor he pastored for a few months. in November of 1998 God Sent his manservant to New Salem MBC The Rev. Connice Gene Mayes. Under his ministry souls were added to Kingdom of God. He brought Fire from on high with him in 2000 we began building our new edifice God increased his anointing upon our Church. we entered the new building in September of 2000, the church sanctuary seats 300, Fellowship Hall, 2 office rooms. 1 classroom , 4 restrooms , and more it is a church on fire for Jesus, preaching and taking the gospel to all people. Our church motto is a church with a vision, power a plan and a purpose. we thank God for our pastor who is a true Apostle of Christ May God Bless New Salem BC.
OUR CHURCH
Our Church is located in Paris, Texas right off of Main street, behind the Fire Station, A red brick edifice, with sanctuary seating of 300, Fellowship Hall, and more, about 200 members with a growing attendance, our Pastor is an anointed man of God under his ministry 6 men have announced their calling, Rev. Stanley Rhone, Rev. Stephen Harris, Rev. Darrell Franklin, Rev. Byron Muse, Rev. Victor Adams, and Rev. Corey Battle, Associate Ministers under him are Rev. Kendall McAfee, Rev. Roy Cleary, Rev. Victor Adams also he is known nationwide. He is a mentor to a lot of Young ministers. We praise God for our Apostolic Leader, Our church is a friendly church. We would love to have you in our services Directions; from I-30, Take I-30 to Paris, Commerce Exit come through Commerce through Cooper in Cooper take Texas 24 all the way through to Paris, go pass the cemetery to make a right on Brown ave. to Main street ride Main until you see Paris Fire Station #1. on Main street. make a right on Hickory street. you will see red Brick church. Directions: from Highway 271 From Hugo/Oklahoma Cities take 271 into Paris, get on Main , ride Main street until you see Hickory street. make a right on Hickory street you will see red Brick church.
