Our Worship
This worshiping community gathers in the Tropic Star ballroom at 9:30 each Sunday from November through March...Our service is rich in music consiting of two anthems by our Tropic Star Choir (in high season some 80 voices strong) One offertory solo, plus Choral Introit and Benediction..The biblically based message is brought by our Park Minister, Dr Robert J. Stemme. Our congregation is composed of those from a wide variety of religious backgrounds, largely "Winter Texans" and at the height of our season we have 625 attending. As a congregation we give substantially to local mission needs. During the 2003-4 season the park residents constructed the Tropic Star Memorial Chapel which serves as a site for special services and as a place for Bible studies and other religious gatherings. This Chapel, with its stained glass windows, its comfortable seating for about 65 persons, and its southwest style of archetecture is welcome addition and a spiritual center for the resort.
Our Congregation
Since Tropic Star is an "over 55 R V Resort" our congregation is largely made up of "Winter Texans" who spend the otherwise cold winter months in the warm and sunny south Texas weather...And as Tropic Star Worship We do encourage our park residents and visitors to come to our service at 9:30 on Sunday mornings and we do everything in our power to make them feel WELCOME
