DOCTRINAL STATEMENT (1)We believe the scripture , both old and new Testament to be the verrbally inspired word of God; without error in the original writings and that they are the only supreme and final authority in faith and life 2 Peter 1:21; 2Tim 3:16-17 (2).We beleive in one God, eternally existing in three persons; God the Father, God the son,God the Holy spirit Gen 1:1, 1John 10:30, Matt 28:19, Romans 8:9-11 (3). We beleive that Jesus Christ was begotten by the holy spirit was born of the virgin Mary and that is true God and true man. Isaiah 7:14,Mathew 1 18-25, Collosians 2:9 (4). We believe that man was created in the image of God, that he sinned and thereby incurred not only physical death but also spiritual death, whichi s separation from God and that all human beings are born with a sinful nature and are therefore under form of condemnation to eternal ruined without defense or excuse.Genesis 2:17,Psalms 51:5,Psalms 58:3,Romans 1:20,5:12-21. (5). We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures, as a representative and substitutionary sacrifice and that all who believe in Him are justified on the grounds of His shed blood.Romans 5:8-9,1Corinthians 15:1-4,2Corinthians 5:21, 1Peter 1:18-20,2:24 (6)We believe in the bodily resurrection of our Lord, His bodily ascension into heaven and His bodily presence there for us as High Priest and advocate Acts 1:9-11,1Corinthians 15:1-4,20-25,Hebrews 7:25,1John 2:1-2,1Tim 2:5. (7).We bebieve in the imminent, bodily, premillenial return of Christ taht he will come first to take all believers out of the world;and that he will come to the earth later to reign the world for a thousand years.1Thess 4:13-18,1Corin 15:51,Rev 20:4 (8).We believe that all who truly repent of their sins and believe on and receive by faith the Lord Jesus Christ are born again of the Holy Spirit and are thereby children of God and are eternally saved John 3:3,5:24,Gal 3:24-26,1John 5:13 (9).We believe that every christian has the Holy Spirit and is indwelt at the very moment he exercises saving faith in Christ. But that there is a definite need to be filled with the Holy Spirit as a result of thirsting, surrendering and yielding completely for its experience.Romans 8:9,Ephesians 1:13-14,4:30,5:18 (10).We believe that satan is literal and personal, the agent of the fall;the prince and power of this world and that he shall be judged and eternally punished.Ephesians 2:14,Rev 20:1-10,Acts 5:3,Gen 3:14-15 (11).We believe in the bodily ressurection of the dead the just and the unjust the internal punishment of the lost, and the eternal joy of the saved 1Thess 4:16-18,Rev 20 (12).We believe that immersion is the only mode of baptism taught in the scripture, that it has no saving power and that the new births (see the requirement for baptism). Therefore only those who are old enough to understand sin, and can repent and believe shall be baptised.Scriptural baptism shows our faith in the crucified, buried and risen savior, with it's effects in our death to sin and ressurection to a new life. (13).It is a prerequisite to the privilege of the church membership, and the Lords supper in which the members of the church commemorate together the Lords death till he comes preceded always by solmne self-examination Acts 2:38,Romans 6:1-5,Acts 2:41-42,1Cor 11:23-28. (14).We believe that the Bible teaches that the offices of Pastor and Deacon should be held by men only.Acts 6:3,1Tim 2:12,3:1,2,12. (15).We believe that a new testament church is the body of baptised believers, assembled for worship, services for the spreading of the gospel into all the world, that it is the highest organisation taught in the scripture and that therefore there is no basis for denominationalcontrol over the Local Church.Christ is the Head.Mtt 28:19-20,Acts 1:8,1John 1:3,Eph 1:21-22 (16).We believe that all the saved are called into a life of separation from all worldly and sinful practices.Rom 12:1-2,1jOhn 2:15-17,Titus 2:12-13. CHURCH COVENANT Having been led by the Holy Spirit of God to receive the Lord Jesus Christ as our saviour, and having professed our faith and desire to be obedient to the Lord in the act of scriptural Baptism, we do in the presence of God, Angels and this assembly, most solemnly and joyfully enter into covenant with one another, as one body in Christ. We Promise therefore, with the help of the Holy Spirit, to walk together in Christian Love, to work for the advancement of this church, in knowledge, Holiness and Comfort, to promote its prosperity and Spirituality, to contribute cheerfully and regularly to the support of the ministry and expenses of the church, refeif of the poor, and the spreading of the gospel throughout all nations. We also promise to maintain family and personal devotions; to religiously educate our children: to seek the salvation of our kindred and acquintances; to walk circumspectly in the world; to be honest and fair in our dealings, faithful in our work and responsibility and good examples in our behaviour; to avoid all "Back-biting", gossip and excessive anger; to abstain from worldly practices which do not honour Christ (Such as selling or using intoxicating drinks as a beverage); and to work with zeal to advance the kingdom of our saviour. We further promise to watch over one another in brotherly love; to pray for each other; to help each other in times of sickness or distress; to cultivate synpathy in feeling and courtesy in speech; to be slow to take offence, but always seeking for reconciliation, according to the commands of our saviour. Moreover, we promise that when we remove from this place, we will seek to unite with some other churches where we can carry out the spirit of this covenant and the principles of God's word.
