What is United Eastern Orthodox Apostolic Church

The church is a new collective of Christians that have separated from the "ethnic" churches due to their reluctance to adapt English services and an English Divine Lituirgy. The UEOAC is a movement, that unlike the ethnic churches, welcomes all Christians that have faith in Jesus Christ!Inter Ethnic marriage is a reality in the United States moreso then ever, and children are marrying Non Ethnic partners. These partners are lost in the Sunday Divine liturgy and get "NOTHING" from the deeply spiritual and inspirational service! The Divine Liturgy is meaningless if the recreation of the Life of Christ cannot be understood. The other significant difference between our church and the Ethnic Churches, is the fact that WE teach our faithful basic truths that the Ethnic Churches "assume" their faithful know! Such examples include: 01) The exposed one Ear of Christ, or the saints in Iconography that symbolizes they are listening to our prayers and hearing us! 02) The schism of the Eastern and Western Christian Churches DID NOT occur in 1054, but actually earlier! 1054 was the "boiling point". 03) Mistranslations in the Bible that add more "meaning" to the TRUE words of Christ as the Apostles wrote! 04) The Inter Orthodox Conflicts between the Patriarch of Constantinople and the Russian Orthodox Church. ......and much, much more! The UEOAC has NO LOYALTY to any single Patriarchate or to Rome! We are an independent church, free of the Ecclisiatical politics, witnessing the True Basic Faith of Christianity as established by the Original Church, and having APOSTOLIC SUCCESSION from both Eatern Rite and Western Rite! churches. Our true loyalty is to Christ and the trinity, and our actions reflect it in our daily existence! Unlike the "mainstream" churches, our Church has a more "common sense" approach to the sacramental Life of the faithful! For Example, Confession of your sins to Christ ALONE is enough to have forgiveness from Christ!! We do NOT "IMPOSE" extended fasting, or Extra Penance Prayers! It is NOT the church that "dictates" the terms of your forgiveness, but rather ONLY CHRIST! These are just a few of the many ways that we are "Different", and "Unique" to the Orthodox Faith. We believe that Orthodoxy is a precious Christian Jewel that we are honored to be a part of, and allowing "barriers" such as language or politics to IMPACT the faith and the way we worship is not only WRONG, but an ABOMINATION to Christ!

Liturgically Unique and Meanigful...

The Divne Liturgy is a beautiful service that allows us to pray and recreate the life of Christ WEEKLY! The changing Gospel and Epistle readings allow us to experience many "lessons" that we should reflect on and learn from! Few of the mainstream Orthodox churches spend time on these lessons every week, and the meaning of the Word of God may may not be clearly EVIDENT to the faithful especially if it is said in a language that they cannot understand! Our church will concentrate on the Gospel readings and relate the weekly lesson to life as we know it today! During our Divine Liturgy we also recite the sinners prayer before communion, ask each other for forgiveness BEFORE we receive communion, and before we leave we wish each other peace! This is a truly Eastern Service with a slightly Western twist, EMBRACING our Christian LITURGICAL Diversity, BUT embracing the spirit of Christian IDEOLOGY at the same time! During our Divine Liturgy we will even pray as a congregation for the health of our fellow parishioners that are ill, BY NAME, not merely a generic supplication! Our weddings are also very different, as we include the "Parental Unity", "The calling of the Witnesses", and other "Ancient Christian customs".The same applies to the Baptisms, and the Funerals that we conduct! We want to CAPTURE the essence of Christ as if HE was at the service physically! For this, I do believe that we are truly unique as an Orthodox Christian Church. Our aspiration in life is to live as an enlarged Christian family, embracing one another in Faith, Dignity, and Nobility! Our church reaches out to "partner" with the communities we serve, the local area schools, and other philanthropic organizations to make this world a better place NOT JUST for our "members", but for all those we encounter daily!
