Mount Paran Church of Jesus Christ
Located on the Red Bud Road 5 miles from I-75 South in Calhoun Georgia you will find the little white church with the 3 white on the front lawn, This is the Mt. Paran Church of Jesus Christ. While struggling for a while after the death of the founding Pastor, the church is beginning to see life again. A church that has a desire to see people find a relationship with Jesus Christ. A place where you can come and worship regardless of what your former life syle has consisted of. People who love and has a desire to help people. A body of believers where everbody is somebody and Jesus is everything. IF you should be in our area come and visit or give us a call at 706-673-9654. Remeber Jesus does love you.
Mount Paran-Pastor
Pastor Ray & Beth Kirk became official Pastor May of 2003 after ministering at the church since March of 2003. With a heart to see the little church grow they answered the call of God to Pastor the church. Pastor Ray called to preach the gospel in 1976 and his help mate Pastor Beth both are licensed ministers.
Our vision as Pastor at Mt. Paran is first to see people get right with God, secondly to be able to help new converts grow and be able to maintain a strong relationship with Jesus Christ our Lord and Saviour. To see the "Increase" of the children and workers of God separating theirselves from the bondage of the flesh (worldly desires). God has spoken to me as Pastor saying,"In order to receive increase, I need to have the ability to handle increase when it does come." This week (july 2003)while in revival God has shown me the ability to handle increase by the messages the Evangelist brought.
1st night:commitment to God, 2nd night:relationship with God, 2rd night:physical outpouring of the power of God with the baptism of fire in my personal life, 4th night: having a good reputation.
I understand that God speaks to people in different ways. Yet, when he speaks we need to be able to hear.
Pray for us here at Mt. Paran. Write, email, call or come by and vist. We need help with the music department. We have been blessed with instruments we need someone to play them. If God has given you a talent and you are searching for a place to use it, then come visit. Jesus is coming soon and the work which we have to do must be s swift work.
