The Beginning

Pastor L.B. Galbearth, Jr. was born and raised in the inter-city of Kansas City Missouri. He father was killed by his mother at the age of 10 due to her long battle with mental illnes. The early years without his father or mother where the most difficult of times for Pastor Galbearth. It was during these times that Pastor Galbearth says he developed a personal relationship with God for himself. He joined the Missouri Army National Guard at 17 and graduated from Central High School at 18 in 1987. Pastor Galbearth attended college in the fall of 1988 at Missouri Western State College were he met his wife Toni Foster. They were married in 1991. He attened the Church of District Elder James P. Foster, Jr. were he was baptized in the name of Jesus and was filled with the Holy Ghost. In 1991 Pastor Galbearth was employed by the Buchanan County Juvenile Court were he worked as a Juvenile Detention Officer and a Deputy Juvenile Officer until 2000.Pastor L.B. Galbearth, Jr. graduated from Missouri Western State College in 1994 with a Bachelor of Science in Political Science and a Bachelor of Arts in History.

The Great Migration

In the fall of 2000 Pastor LB Galbearth was serving as a minister at Greater Jesus Tabernacle Church and was 15 hours into his EMBA at Benedictine College. The Lord spoke to Pastor Galbearth and told him to quit graduate school, leave his job and move to Des Moines, Iowa and start a work for the Lord. Pastor Galbearth had no familiy or friends in Des Moines and also did not have a job or place to live. Pastor Galbearth battled for several months with the decision to move a new born son, three children under seven and his wife to a place were they had no friends or family. Pastor Galbearth moved and God birthed House Of Bread Familiy Ministries for leadership development of God's people. Since moving to Des Moines Pastor Galbearth has finished his Master's Degree in Public Administration and is a current doctoral student of Berne International University. Pastor Galbearth has recently published his first book TAO OF THE GHETTO. House of Bread Family Ministries has encountered its first move this year to the small chapel of the Lutheran Reedemer Church located on the corner of 36th and University. God has used Pastor Galbearth and his unique preaching style to minister to a vast variety of people who have dealt with mental illness, juvenile delinquency, drug addiction family discord and families with incarcerated loved ones. Pastor Galbearth is currently seen on the popular local cable channel (15) in Des Moines on Wednesday 3:00-4:00pm and Friday 3:30-4:30pm. Pastor Galbearth is currently writing his second book on mentoring. Pastor Galbearth is currently employed by the state of Iowa as a Civil Rights Mediator. God has called House of Bread Familiy Ministries to rebuild the old land mark "The Family" Everything that God has ever given has been through the family. In todays world it is the traditional familiy that is being attacked and destroyed by the enemy. Pastor Galbearth invites all that are hungary to eat of the freshest bread in town at House of Bread Family Ministries.
