Alum Creek Friends Focus
We have been serving Christ in this community now since 1813. Our heritage is out of the Quaker Tradition which believes that the "Living Eternal Christ " is able to speak to the condition of every human heart. Our purpose is to present Jesus Christ as the good news and our church's theme is "Open Doors for Yours". We are here to be servants of Christ to 'who so ever will!' We really want to be able to show the love of Christ to our community.Presently there is a wonderful feeling of harmony and excitement within the church community. Our pastor's Charles Robinson and James Brantingham have been helping congregations to develope strong ministeries for the past 40-50 years. There is a feeling of great expectation among the fellowship as we look forward to one of the most exciting years the church has ever known.
Youth Ministry and Growth Groups
At present we are seeing many young people becoming part of our fellowship of believers. At present we have a Thursday Evening Soft ball program under the direction of Matthew Higgins. People who are new say that they have never had such a good time. They are coming back and bringing their friends with them. Also we are activily developing 'growth groups' through out the community which our church serves. These are open to those interested in good fellowship and spending time discussing the problems of daily living within a biblical context.
