The Balm in Gilead Praise and Worship Temple is located at 89 Mapes Ave. in the city of Newark. This is a Ministry where we believe in miricles and the full move of the Power of God. In this Ministry we believe in helping sharing and caring, as well as up lifting the name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Saviour. We understand that God is not short of his word nor of his promise, as he says in Psalm 91 where he says "He shall give His Angels charge over thee to keep thee in all thy ways." We are a Ministry that believes in true Worship and true Praise to and for the Almighty God. Our Mission is to reach the total man through the Preaching and Teaching of the Lord Jesus Christ, as well as to recieve his Spirit, admonishing them to accept the Lord Jesus Christ as thier personal Saviour. This Ministry is where everybody is somebody, and we know that Praise is surely what we do. Our Vision, is to get the Glorious Gospel of Jesus Christ at and by any cost. About Pastor Cory M. Best
Pastor Cory Michael Best was born on October 16,1978 in the city of Newark,he has been Educated in the Newark Public School System he also recieved his Bachelors Degree from Morgan State University in Baltimore,MD. Pastor Best is the second oldest son of Bro. James L. Best and the Late Evangelist Lynn M. Best. Pastor Best Got his early training in the Ministry in the Church of God and Saints of Christ from his mentor first Pastor and Grandfather Bishop Dr. Philip A. Thomas,Sr. and his Grandmother Lady Ruth M. Thomas. Pastor Best began Preaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ at the tender age of 15 years old. Pastor Best has held such offices in the Ministry such as Youth Pastor,Co-Pastor,and District Elder. Pastor Best's Preaching and love for the Ministry has taken him to places such as Chicago,Los Angeles,Miami,Pennsylvania,Virginia,Marland,Washington D.C.,Delaware,New York,and Of course his home town state of New Jersey. Pastor Cory M. Best is a loving Father,Husband,and Pastor... One of his favorite Scritures is Psalm 34:1 "I will bless the Lord at all times.
