Lakeside A Lighthouse For GOD's Love

All People Matter to God and Lakeside Baptist Church. Jesus paid the ultimate price to make a way for people to have a relationship with the Father. Every time God finds a lost person, all of heaven and the angels celebrate. All people matter to God and, therefore, they matter to us. Therefore, we want to help you become a contagious Christian, influencing your friends, relatives, associates and neighbors toward a relationship with God. "Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age." Amen. Matthew 28:19-20 Believers are the Ministers. God has called and empowered all of us to grow to maturity and to help others do the same. The Bible clearly teaches that personal spiritual health and the health of the church depend on the participation and contributions of every individual. God has gifted and empowered each of us to serve. At Lakeside Baptist Church, we don't reserve ministry for the professionals (pastors); we release ministry to the people (you). We want the Holy Spirit to empower you in productive and meaningful ministry; to help you do what God has called you to do. "Each one should use whatever gift he has received to serve others, faithfully administering God's grace in its various forms." 1 Peter 4:10 Community is the Context. Community refers to a sense of oneness and interdependence for which Jesus prayed in "…that they may be one as we are one." John 17:22 We yearn for vital connection to others. We want to experience the intimacy, nurture, accountability and acceptance that build community. Community comes alive when we are willing to forgive one another ("And whenever you stand praying, if you have anything against anyone, forgive him, that your Father in heaven may also forgive you your trespasses. But if you do not forgive, neither will your Father in heaven forgive your trespasses." Mark 11:25-26), love one another, ("A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another John 13:34.), bear one another's burdens, (Bear one another's burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ Galatians 6:2.) and worship together, (not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching Hebrews 10:25), as well as when we spur one another on as a result of gathering together in mutually accountable fellowship (but exhort one another daily, while it is called "Today,'' lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin Hebrews 3:13 .). You can begin to get a taste for community in several ways at Lakeside Baptist Church no matter what your age, race, income, marital status or what kind of clothes you wear. Wherever you are on your spiritual journey, we want to help you enter into community with us. "They devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and to the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts..." Acts 2:42, 46
