The Church of Our Saviour is a Family working together to proclaim the Good News of God in Christ as it seeks to fulfill His Ministry to all through Word and Sacrament. We are a Parish of the Episcopal Church in the Diocese of Arizona in Ministry Partnership with the Grand Canyon Synod of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. We embrace enthusiastically our Diocesan Motto: "We are one!"
The Church of Our Saviour is a welcoming, affirming Congregation of about 60 people during the Winter, and about 150 during the Summer. Our Eucharistic Worship is a blend of Traditional and Contemporary. We use the 1979 Book of Common Prayer and the Lutheran Book of Worship. On the third Sunday of each month our contemporary music group, "InSpirit!", helps us with some of our music. We believe that the Altar is "the Lord's Table", not our's, so we practice "Open Communion" for all who are baptized. We have a large, active Lay Ministry, and encourage all who worship with our Parish Family to become involved in serving God, one another, and our Community through using their God-given Gifts. We eat a lot together! On the 1st Sunday of each month (April - September) we have a BITE -- a "Breakfast-Inbetween-The-Eucharists." Each June we have a "Welcome Back! Picnic" at which we welcome back to the Congregation the members of our Summer Family. On the last Sunday of each July we celebrate our annual "Summer Christmas", followed by a traditional Christmas Dinner. On the last Sunday before Labor Day we celebrate our annual "Thomas Bray Picnic" at which we say "Goodbye until next summer" to our Summer Family. We invite you to worship with us, and to become a part of our Church Family!
