A PROPHETIC CHURCH-SCHOOL MINISTRY AT END-TIMES
End-times Bible Centered (Baptist) Mission is a pioneering work in Baguio City, Philippines, the Summer Capital of the Philippines. Although in a tropical location in the world, this belongs to the Mountain Province and because of high altitude, our temperature is between 12-20 degree centigrade. We are still a house-church where Pastor Larry Tan provided a space in the house he is staying in Eagle Crest, Bakakeng, Baguio City, Philippines. In our two months stay in the place since December, 2002, by the grace of God through our AGOS (Area Gospel Operation Saturation)evangelistic program, there are about 20-30 attenders. Six families already attending our mission outreach here. Our mother church is the church that Pastor Tan left to his Timothy there in the Province of Rizal. We are independent and seeking an affiliation with a church that has the same Statement of Faith like Net Ministries'. We just purchased two lots, one 300 square meters (somewhat steep) and the other under negotiation that is the 200 square meters on an elevated, flat ground. WE DON'T BELIEVE IN SOLICITATION, WHAT WE DO RIGHT NOW IS PRAY, PRAY AND FAST!!! We know the Lord Jesus Christ is our Great Provider and Jehovah-Jireh, and as we continue to fast and pray, we are confident that this is His work, He will touch people's hearts with whom He shall channel our financial needs to build a Church-school (we're gonna start with a pre-school first as many igorots and ifugaos, the natives here, do not know how to read, Pastor Larry Tan is known for starting and administering schools as he has pioneered three church-schools already, he is both a Pastor/Principal and Administrator and a Church-Planter, too since 1987), Livelihood Program (as people around are tribes people who are into farming), a publishing house for "Endtimes Updates Publication", by the grace of God, is the only prophetic newsprint ministry in the country. Our Pastor, Larry Tan since 1992 has been going around the country invited by local churches of various Christian denominational orientations. He is the Hal Lindsey of the Philippines as many seasoned pastors tell us. He hold prophetic seminars that gave awareness to prophetic discernment of today. Both newspaper (January 1996) and prophetic seminar (November 1992)are by faith and our mission is give prophetic significance to what's happening around us (Luke 21:28)including current events, global trends, science and technology, etc.. We also intend to build a simple 2-storey building that will not only house Church-school (plus Bible College of Course since Pastor Tan is an educator), Livelihood Program, and Publication house but of course, a missionary house that will accomodate visiting local and foreign missionaries for free. Our climate here are so much loved by the Westerners who used to frequent the place, as some of our friends say, it's just like living in San Diego, California. This is a mountain place, and like Caleb, we claimed already two (2) lots. And the Lord we believe will touch hearts who wanted to join us like Jabez, in expanding their territories..... AT END-TIMES, LET'S BE CALEB AND JABEZ
PASTOR LARRY TAN WRITES......... IF THERE ARE TWO CHARACTERS IN THE OLD TESTAMENT THAT I ADMIRE MOST, I SHALL DROP TWO NAMES… CALEB AND JABEZ, FOR CLAIMING THE MOUNTAIN OF THE ENEMIES AND ASKING THE LORD TO EXPAND HIS TERRITORY, RESPECTIVELY. EVENTUALLY, THEIR REQUESTS WERE GRANTED AND THEY BECAME TWO OF THE BIBLE'S GREAT CONQUERORS!!! CALEB: "As the LORD commanded Moses, so the children of Israel did, and they divided the land. 6Then the children of Judah came unto Joshua in Gilgal: and Caleb the son of Jephunneh the Kenezite said unto him, Thou knowest the thing that the LORD said unto Moses the man of God concerning me and thee in Kadeshbarnea. 7Forty years old was I when Moses the servant of the LORD sent me from Kadeshbarnea to espy out the land; and I brought him word again as it was in mine heart. 8Nevertheless my brethren that went up with me made the heart of the people melt: but I wholly followed the LORD my God. 9And Moses sware on that day, saying, Surely the land whereon thy feet have trodden shall be thine inheritance, and thy children's for ever, because thou hast wholly followed the LORD my God. 10And now, behold, the LORD hath kept me alive, as he said, these forty and five years, even since the LORD spake this word unto Moses, while the children of Israel wandered in the wilderness: and now, lo, I am this day fourscore and five years old. 11As yet I am as strong this day as I was in the day that Moses sent me: as my strength was then, even so is my strength now, for war, both to go out, and to come in. 12Now therefore give me this mountain, whereof the LORD spake in that day; for thou heardest in that day how the Anakims were there, and that the cities were great and fenced: if so be the LORD will be with me, then I shall be able to drive them out, as the LORD said. 13And Joshua blessed him, and gave unto Caleb the son of Jephunneh Hebron for an inheritance. 14Hebron therefore became the inheritance of Caleb the son of Jephunneh the Kenezite unto this day, because that he wholly followed the LORD God of Israel. 15And the name of Hebron before was Kirjatharba; which Arba was a great man among the Anakims. And the land had rest from war." (Joshua 14:5-15) JABEZ: "And Jabez was more honourable than his brethren: and his mother called his name Jabez, saying, Because I bare him with sorrow. 10And Jabez called on the God of Israel, saying, Oh that thou wouldest bless me indeed, and enlarge my coast, and that thine hand might be with me, and that thou wouldest keep me from evil, that it may not grieve me! And God granted him that which he requested." (I Chronicles 4:9-10) MY TWO PRAYER REQUESTS ARE THE FOLLOWING: (1) Joshua 14:12a: "Now therefore give me this mountain, whereof the LORD spake in that day!" OH HOW I LOVE THE PRAYER OF CALEB! WHEN THE LORD COMMANDED ISRAEL TO DIVIDE THE LAND AMONG THE PEOPLE, EVERYBODY SEEMED TO CLAMOUR THE COMFORT ZONES. CALEB IS DIFFERENT HE WANTED TO GO BACK TO THE MISSION PREVIOUSLY ENTRUSTED TO HIM WHEN HE WAS ONLY 40 YEARS OF AGE. AFTER FORTY FIVE YEARS, CALEB AT 85 CLAIMED, "GIVE ME THIS MOUNTAIN!" THIS IS MY PRAYER TOO. AT FORTY THREE THE LORD BROUGHT ME TO THIS MOUNTAIN ON A TRIBES MISSION AND I BELIEVE IT WILL NOT TAKE FORTY FIVE YEARS MORE BEFORE I FINALLY CAN SAY, "THE LORD GAVE ME THIS MOUNTAIN!" LIKE CALEB, I BECOME OBEDIENT TO THE CALL OF THE LORD IN THE MOUNTAIN PROVINCE WHERE PAGANISM IS PREVALENT AND SPIRITISM RAMPANT. THESE ARE MY ANAKIMS, THE GIANTS THAT THE LORD SHALL CONQUER THROUGH ME. OF ALL PASTORS GOD KNOWS I AM DIFFERENT, I DO NOT ASK FOR THE LORD'S HELP IN THE MINISTRY. SIMPLY BECAUSE I KNOW THE MINISTRY IS HIS WORK AND I JUST MADE MYSELF AVAILABLE TO HIS WORK AND READY TO HELP. HE IS THE MASTER OF THE VINEYARD, I AM JUST A SERVANT. SO NEVER DO I PRAY "HELP ME LORD", INSTEAD I SAY, "LORD THIS IS YOUR WORK, DO IT AND I SHALL HELP." I COME TO YOU MY FRIEND BECAUSE GOD KNOWS WE ARE PRAYING FOR PEOPLE WHO HAVE THE HEART FOR THE MINISTRY. I KNOW YOU ARE ONE OF THEM READER OF THIS PRAYER REQUEST. WE NOW HAVE THE 300 SQ.M. SPACE IN THIS MOUNTAIN WHERE TO BUILD HIS SANCTUARY PLUS THE OTHER 200 WE ARE STILL CLAIMING. YOUR PRAYER IS THE BEST WAY YOU MAY HELP THE LORD BUILD A HOUSE FOR HIS PEOPLE HERE. MARK 11:24 CLEARLY TELLS US: "Therefore I say unto you, what things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them." I THANK THE LORD FOR CONQUERING THIS PIECE OF LAND! (2) I Chronicle 4:10: "Oh that thou wouldest bless me indeed, and enlarge my coast, and that thine hand might be with me, and that thou wouldest keep me from evil, that it may not grieve me!" JABEZ IS ANOTHER MAN OF GOD WHO ASKED GOD TO BLESS HIM, EXPAND HIS COAST / TERRITORY, TOUCH HIS LIFE WITH THE MASTER'S HAND, AND KEEP HIM FROM EVIL. DESPITE THE MEANING OF HIS NAME, "PAIN", JABEZ CLAIMED FOR A MIRACLE, THAT SIMPLE! A MIRACLE IS AN INTERVENTION BY GOD TO MAKE SOMETHING HAPPEN THAT WOULDN'T NORMALLY HAPPEN. THAT, AND NOTHING LESS, WAS WHAT JABEZ HAD TO HAVE TO TRANSCEND HIS NAME AND TRANSFORM HIS CIRCUMSTANCES!!! DO YOU BELIEVE IN MIRACLES TO HAPPEN? JUST PRAY, MY FRIEND. GOOD THE MEANING OF MY NAME, LARRY MEANS "THE SEED OF GOD". TRULY BY HIS GRACE GOD THROUGH ME AND MY FRIENDS WAS ABLE TO SUCCESSFULLY BUILD A SANCTUARY AND A SCHOOL IN THE PROVINCE OF RIZAL. AND IN A LOCAL CHURCH I PASTORED IN PROJECT 3 QUEZON CITY, THE LORD TOUCHED MY HEART TO GIVE MY HOUSE AND LOT TO THE LOT AND BUILDING FUND PROJECT THERE. PRAISE THE LORD THEY WERE ABLE TO BUY A LOT ALREADY. MEMBERS THERE ARE WELL-TO-DO PEOPLE, HOWEVER, THROUGH 42 YRS. THEY FAILED TO GIVE GOD HIS SANCTUARY BECAUSE THEY ARE WITHOUT HEART IN GIVING, THE LORD SENT A MACEDONIAN (PASTOR) LIKE ME, IN POVERTY I GAVE MY BEST (MY PARENTS' ONLY INHERITANCE TO ME), AND THEY LEARNED TO GIVE THROUGH THE PROJECT I STARTED BEFORE THE LORD SENT ME HERE ON THIS MOUNTAIN, I NAMED "OPLAN: HAGGAI". REMEMBER WHAT THE LORD SAID TO THOSE WHO HAVE BEAUTIFUL HOUSES AND YET THE LORD'S HOUSE IS NEGLECTED. TURN YOUR BIBLE TO: "Then came the word of the LORD by Haggai the prophet, saying, 4Is it time for you, O ye, to dwell in your cieled houses, and this house lie waste? 5Now therefore thus saith the LORD of hosts; Consider your ways. 6Ye have sown much, and bring in little; ye eat, but ye have not enough; ye drink, but ye are not filled with drink; ye clothe you, but there is none warm; and he that earneth wages earneth wages to put it into a bag with holes. 7Thus saith the LORD of hosts; Consider your ways. 8Go up to the mountain, and bring wood, and build the house; and I will take pleasure in it, and I will be glorified, saith the LORD. 9Ye looked for much, and, lo, it came to little; and when ye brought it home, I did blow upon it. Why? saith the LORD of hosts. Because of mine house that is waste, and ye run every man unto his own house. 10Therefore the heaven over you is stayed from dew, and the earth is stayed from her fruit. 11And I called for a drought upon the land, and upon the mountains, and upon the corn, and upon the new wine, and upon the oil, and upon that which the ground bringeth forth, and upon men, and upon cattle, and upon all the labour of the hands." THEN FINALLY, THE LORD SENT ME TO THIS MOUNTAIN PROVINCE, BAGUIO CITY, PHILIPPINES. AND I PRAY THE LORD WILL BLESS ME, KEEP ME FROM EVIL AND EXPAND MY TERRITORY HERE. WOULD YOU LIKE TO EXPAND YOUR TERRITORY, TOO? JUST PRAY! I AM NOT ASKING FOR ANY FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE GOD KNOWS. THE LORD SHALL PROVIDE. THROUGH THE YEARS I PROVED THE LORD'S FAITHFULNESS, IT IS GOD WHO FINANCES THE CONSTRUCTION OF HIS OWN HOUSE ON THIS LOT WE JUST BOUGHT. I JUST HELP IN HIS WORK. YOU, TOO COULD BE A PART IN CONQUERING THIS MOUNTAIN AND EXPANDING YOUR TERRITORY! YOU COULD BE BOTH A CALEB AND JABEZ IN YOUR OWN FAITHFUL PURSUIT OF PRAYING FOR YOUR BRETHREN HERE IN BAGUIO CITY, PHILIPPINES. OUR LOCAL CHURCH IS AN INDEPENDENT MISSION.
