We at the Refuge House of Prayer. Would like to take this time to Thank You for visiting our website. The Refuge House of Prayer is currently located in Tuscaloosa, Al.; under the leadership of Pastor & Co-Pastor Hurst. The Ministry has been established nine years. We believe in Preaching the Uncompromised Word of God. We believe that is it the Will of the Father to give us the Kingdom. We believe that God Wills,Wish above all things that we prosper and be in health even as our soul prosper. We believe that if you are Willing & Obedience you shall eat the good of the land. In the Refuge House of Prayer the Word of God is balanced. For the Bible declares A false balance is a abomination. We believe in praying a seeking God for a Word for His people.
The Will of God on Healing
Praise the Lord!! I just wanted to take a little time on this subject about the Will of God on Healing. Because a lot of people has there opinions on Healing but what does the Word of God says about healing. Many times people are sick and they tell other people I will be healed if it is the Lord's Will. When the Word of God has already declared the Will of God for healing in His Word. The Word of God plainly states in 2John 1:2, Beloved, I wish(He Wills)above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prosper. It is Gods Will that we prosper spirit, soul, and body even as our soul prosper. The Word of God declares in Exodus 15:26 - And said, If thou wilt diligently hearken to the voice of the LORD thy God, and wilt do that which is right in his sight, and wilt give ear to his commandments, and keep all his statutes, I will put none of these diseases upon thee, which I have brought upon the Egyptians: for I am the LORD that healeth thee. You know in a Insurance Policy we have lots of benefits and that why it is good to have insurance. But I want to let you know that being a Christian you have a Insurance policy too. According to Psalms 1031 Bless the LORD, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name. 2 Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits: 3 Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases; 4 Who redeemeth thy life from destruction; who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies; 5 Who satisfieth thy mouth with good things; so that thy youth is renewed like the eagle's. He plainly stated all though diseases. I believe he means even all the diseases that the doctors have no cure for, He said all disease; so you my have a condition in your body that the doctor said all hope is gone but I come to encourage your heart that the Word of God said he health all our diseases. Why do people say, "If it is the Lord's Will He will Heal Me." Because the Bible says in Hosea 4:6, My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children." So know you don't have to be destroyed by that condition in you body see now you have the word on it. Did you know that healing is one reason that Jesus died on the Cross for you according to Isaiah 53: 1 Who hath believed our report? and to whom is the arm of the LORD revealed? 2 For he shall grow up before him as a tender plant, and as a root out of a dry ground: he hath no form nor comeliness; and when we shall see him, there is no beauty that we should desire him. 3 He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not. 4 Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. 5 But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed. In order to get healed you have to get you faith built up in order to be healed, because just about every time Jesus healed somebody he said thou faith has made thee Whole. And I want to let you know that your faith can make you Whole today. In order to get faith Romans 10:17, So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. In order to build up your faith you have to hear the Word, read the healing scriptures out loud and believe them. Did you know the Bible said the Word Preached didn't profit them not being mixed with faith in them that heard it. So you have to believe what you are reading and hearing. Let me take this time to encourage you by giving a testimony about a lady in The Refuge House of Prayer, her name is Sis. Rosa Gardner Davis; in 1996 she suffered a stroke and a slight heart attack and it affected her right side and you have seen people that have had strokes that are paralized on one side. To make a long story short she had been praying for the Lord to send somebody to pray for her and he laid Pastor Barbara Hurst on her heart he had on seen her about two times and she looked in the phone book under Hurst and found her number. She called the number and Pastor Barbara Hurst's husband the Co-Pastor Billy Hurst answered the phone and prayed for her. Pastor Barbara Hurst got home and her husband told her and she said that she felt led to go on over there and pray for her. So she went over there and say the lady and her mouth was twisted and her arm drawed up and she was dragging her leg. She could hardly talk. And Pastor Barbara Hurst begin to lay hands on her and the power of God heal Sis. Rosa instantly and she has been healed every since. You arm came back straight, her leg gained strength, and her mouth untwisted, she regained feeling and strength on her right side.
