River of Faith Church PURPOSE STATEMENT
To reach the lost and dying in our community and the world, and to bring them into the family of God and into ta personal relationship & fellowship with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. To restore those who have been hurt, abused, and misused all in the name of God, and to bring everyone into a Christ-like Maturity and to equip them for their personal ministry in the church and their Life Mission in the world, in order to magnigy God's Holy name. The is the acronym God has given to this church: M.E.T.S. M - Minister E - Equip T - Train S - Send Out
Statement of Faith
WE BELIEVE IN: The verbal inspriation of the Scriptures as the very Word of God (II Peter 1:20-21) (II TImothy 3:16) The creation of man by God; man's total depravity through sin. (Romans 3:23) The Deity of Christ - His virgin birth, true humanity, stainless nature and sinless life. (John 1:1) The literal bodily resurrection of our Lord's Body out from among the dead. (I Cor. 15:3-8) Justification by faith inthe finished work of our Lord Jesus Christ. (Romans 5:1) The privilege of receiving Divine Healing for the body in answer to believing prayer. (James 5:14-16) Water Baptism by immersion for all believers according to:(Matthew 28:19) The Baptism with the Holy Ghost as an experience subsequent to conversion, bringing Spritual power for Christian service. (Acts 1:8; 2:4) Eteranl life in heaven, and for those who reject God's offer of salvation, and eternal damnation in the Lake of Fire. (Rev. 21:6-8) "Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching." (Hebrews 10:25) "If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink. He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow Rivers of Living Water." (John 8:37b-38) "That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe i thine heart that God hath raised Him from the dead, thou shalt be save. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation." (Romans 10:9,10) "And he showed me a pure River of Water of Life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb."(Revelation 22:1)
