LOCAL BAND CHURCH HISTORY
The local band of THE HOUSE OF GOD CHURCH began in the home of one of our deceased pioneers Deaconess Mattie Lee Jones Byrd, at the age of 15, in 1925 in Pembroke, GA. In the same year of our Lord and Savior, Deaconess Byrd was saved under Mother M.L. Tate, Founder and First Chief Overseer of the House of God Which is the Church of the Living God, The Pillar and Ground of the Truth Without Controversy, Inc. 1 Timothy 3: 15-16
