Our Humble Beginning
Our church was organized on December 2,1998, at a small hotel in the city of Rochester. During our first service we filled the room to it's capacity and on that day, seven souls were added to the church. Since that time the Lord has blessed us tremedously. We are now located in our own facility, a beautiful edifice, a place that God had reserved especially for us to worship in. Today we continue to rejoice in the joy of our salvation. Our Church Motto is: "Step into the light, for a life changing experience. " You will find that the TRUE LIGHT church is a church were no stranger will feel strange, for there is no place like this place, there fore, TRUE LIGHT Church of God in Christ, IS THE PLACE TO WORSHIP.
Our Humble Shepherd
Rev. Jerome Walker is a man of humility and wisdom. His love never ceases to be shown to all of his members. His motto for the church is: There are no big "I's or little you's at the TRUE LIGHT. Pastor Walker treats us all the same, showing no respect of a person. Whether you be, rich or poor, saved or unsaved, black or white, Pastor shows the same love and compassion for the people that Jesu had when he walker upon this earth. The Women's ministry of the church enjoy a Women's Day Session every 3rd Sunday of the month. The Men's ministry of the church enjoy a session along with Family Day, on 5th Sundays, and The True Light Youth Ministries enjoy using their God given gifts on 1st Sundays. We all, young and old, share in the ministry at the TRUE LIGHT.
