Ashley Tabernacle Church of God in Christ was founded in 1927 by the late Elder John Wesley Ashley. The Ashley Tabernacle congregation has been established as one of the oldest COGIC in the Central Pennsylvania area. Our current pastor is the Elder,Wendell C. Yorkman, an anointed, spirit filled man of God. We are a Pentecostal Church where the Word of God is at the center of belief and our risen savior, Jesus Christ, is at the Head of our ministry and lives. The Vision Statement for Ashley Tabernacle COGIC The vision that Lord has given for Ashley Tabernacle COGIC is three-fold: - It is to be established as a House of Prayer providing prayer and intercession for ministries, conditons, cirumstances and people worldwide - It is to establish itself as an avenue for missions ministry on both local and international fronts, providing a multiplicity of helps as the Lord directs - It is to be established as a place of training, instruction and encouragement for Christian leaders and those called to ministry providing spirtual support through prayerful, nonjudgmental, intervention and guidance.
