PREAMBLE:
In every city there is always a ghetto. In the ghetto you find the criminals, prostitutes, Smokers, Drunkards, homeless, abandoned children and those living below average life. Many churches and preachers don't like working in ghetto for lots of reason. It demands more energy spiritually and physically to win them there. It cost more to keep and sustain them for the Lord Jesus Christ. It takes more to bring meaning to their lives than in the urban. We Mission chretienne de la liberte operate in the ghetto. Last year by the grace of God we won 23 souls for our Lord Jesus Christ. Our mission is to get them receive Christ as Lord, remove them from the ghetto, disciple them and find out which area they can be useful in life and in the house of God. Among the 23-saved last year, three prostitutes went back to their country. One Ghanaian and two Nigerians. Eight are doing little trade in the city of Cotonou. One is under going training in a bible college. We have yet about four waiting to be sponsored into the bible collage as well. There are lots of young ones that need formal education. We're able to send two kinds into NPK last year September, with the intention to send more as God gives the support by September this year.(proverb 24:11-12)
TENETS OF FAITH:
HOLY SCRIPTURES: We believe that the holy scriptures of the old and new testaments to be the verbal and plenarily inspired word of God. The scriptures are inerrant, infallible and God breathed, and therefore the final authority for faith and life. The sixty-six books of the old and new testament are the complete and divine revelation of God to man. (11 Timothy 3:16;17, 11Peter 1:20,21) THE PERSON AND WORK OF JESUS CHRIST. We believe that God is the father of the Lord Jesus Christ. He is the one and only true God- all knowing, all powerful, all present-complete in Himself, having always existed, ever active in the universe and involved in the lives of all men. We believe the Lord Jesus Christ to be the only begotten son of God-truly God, truly man born of the virgin, He died on the cross for the sins of mankind. He was raised from the dead and ascended into heaven to sit at the right hand of God. THE HOLY SPIRIT. We believe the Holy Spirit to be divine third person of the Trinity- God as spirit. We believee that the baptism of the Holy spirit is for every believer distinct from salvation with speaking in tongues being the initial accompanying evidence of being baptized and that the gifts of the spirit are manifested for the purpose of meeting the needs of the people. THE GOD HEAD We believe the Holy Trinity to be God revealing Himself in three Divine persons, each distinct in office from the other having seperate mind, will, emotions, yet perfectly one-Constituting one God, not three Gods. (Matt.28:19, Lk. 3:22, JOhn14:9,16,17:3) SALVATION AND FORGIVENESS OF SIN: We believe that all are sinners in need of a saviour, unable to earn our salvation through doing good works and thereby destined for eternal separation and judgement from God. However, we also believe there is good news, that salvation is the free gift of God brought to man by grace and received by personal faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. This abundant, everlasting life with God and forgiveness of sin is available through Jesus Christ alone and offered to all who confess their sins and believe and trust in His death on the cross. HEALING: we believe divine healing was provided to the believer through the finished work of Christ on the cross and it is God's will for us to be healed - in Spirit, Soul and Body. WATER BAPTISM: We believe water baptism is for all adult believers, and is to be practiced by immersion. It symbolizes our being buried with Chirst unto death of self, and as Christ was raised from the death so shall we too,walk in newsness of life. THE LORD'S SUPPER: We believe the Lord's supper (Holy Communion) using the physical elements of the bread and fruit of the vine is to be done in remembrance of the shed blood and body of Christ proclaiming His death on the cross fo us.We believe that every christian is a steward of that portion of Gods wealth entrusted to him and is obligated to support the local church and ministries financially.We believe Christ second coming,the sudden taking away of believers on the earth.We believe in Holy marriage and no divorce for any reason.
