OUR HISTORY

Gospel Progress Assembly is an arm of the Gospel Progress Ministries, Inc. The assembly was born on the 39th of May,1993 at the living room of Rev. Jimoh .A. Kaseem, the founder and GENERAL OVERSEER.
After three and half a year, the Church with less than ten adults moved to its permanent site and started the construction of the worship place in 1996.
Now over two hundred people attend the Sunday morning Service. She has also given birth to two other branches since

OUR PURPOSE STATEMENT

The church exists to Glorify God through anointed worship, true fellowship, sound Biblical teaching for exemplary living, making, equipping and sending Christ's disciples to reap world harvest in the power of the HOLY SPIRIT.

C. TO EVANGELIZE THE SINNERS

As our name indicates, we are committed to reaching our community for Christ, and every other activity that will result in the growth of Christ's body world wide . We are open to Partnership with other ministries that are like minded.

STATEMENT OF FAITH

WE BELIEVE

1. In the general verbal inspiration of the original Scriptures.
2. In the absolute Trinity of the eternal God Head.
3. In the deity of Our Lord Jesus Christ.
4. In the Personality and deity of the Holy Spirit.
5. In the reality and personality of the devil.
6. In the full Salvation by grace through faith and not of works.
7. In the Divine healing through the atonement.
8. In the personal Baptism of the Holy Ghost as received by the Apostles.
9. In Water Baptism by immersion at the age of accountability.
10. In the one and only true Church composed of all blood -washed believers.
11. In the evangelization of the heathens and the Nations of the world.
12. In obedience to civil government.
13. In tithing as God's financial plan.
14. In Church government, loyalty and obedience to those in authority over us in the Lord.
15. In the open table at the Lord's supper.
16. In the maintenance of good works and holy living.
17. In Christian modesty in the matter of dress, wearing apparel and jewelry.
18. In the ressurection of our literal bodies, the just and the unjust.
19. In the everlastingfor all true believers.
20. In the judgement seat of Christ where the Saints will be finally rewarded for their deeds of commission and ommission.
21. In essentials - unity; in non essentials - liberty;In all things - charity.

HISTORY

GOSPROPROTHEC is an educational arm of the Gospel Progress Minstries seeking to meet one of the greatest need of the Church in Africa, namely; the provision of "Sound Biblical Teaching."
Founded in January , 1993, with only seven students in attendance, the college has produced over three hundred graduants within a decade of her existence.

FOUNDER/ RECTOR

The college was founded by Rev. Jimoh .A. Kaseem, who from a devout muslim family, gave his life to Christ in the year 1976. His theological training and certificates include: Adv.Dip.Th (L.I.F.E Theological Seminary, Ikorodu,Lagos,Nigeria), B.A in Bible and theology (from Pan Africa Christian Collgeg,PACC, Nairobi Evangical Graduate School of Theology,Nairobi,Kenya,East Africa.)

OUR MOTTO IS:

"Academic Excellence with Spiritual Anointing;" the watch word is "Discipline," while the goal is strong-Exemplary servant -Leaders for the Body Christ in Our generation.

VISION AND MISSION

The vision of GOSPROTHEC is the training of those who are called to serve in God's Vineyard Biblically and Ministerially whether as Pastors, Teachers, Evangelists, Counselors, Missionaries and other leaders as to be competent and relevant.

SPIRITUAL DEVELOPMENT

As our watch -word indicates, GOSPROTHEC is not after producing "IVORY-TOWER THEOLOGIANS" But men and women of God who maintain a good balance between the head and the heart.

4. Correspondence Course
5. Refresher Course

This programme is available in both day and weekend session, English and Yoruba Language as well as on correspondence course.

CURRICULUM OF STUDY

LIBRARY

Our growing library is open to our students, students from other Bible schools and the ministers of the gospel in our community. Hence,we solicit for books (used or new) and research tools and materials to enhance our studies.

OUR DOCTRINALSTATEMENT

We believe:

1. That the Bible, both Old and New Testaments, is the inspired word of God, without error in the original writing and, it is the final authority in the matters of Christian faith.
2. That there is one God creator of all things, infinity perfected and eternity existing in three persons, Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
3. That man created in God's image was tempted by Satan and fell into sin and is therefore lost and only through regeneration by the Holy Spirit can salvation be obtained.
4. In the deity of Jesus Christ, his virgin birth, sinless life, vicarious death, his bodily resurrection, ascertain to the right hand of God in heaven, and in his personal and visible return in power and glory.
5. That the Holy Spirit, the Third Person of the eternal Godhead, though omnipresent from all eternity, took up his abode in the church on the day of Pentecost as promised, and that the gifts and fruits of the Spirit in the lives of believers are visible demonstrations of his presence.
6. That every believer must be a responsible member of a local church which is God's plan for this age in order to fulfill the objectives of worship, fellowship and evangelism.
7. That every man will resurrect bodily and spend eternity in either heaven or hell depending on their decision for Christ now.
