Daily Christian Living Welcome to Daily Christian Living! Maintaining a healthy and vibrant walk with Christ is not an easy thing to do. Christianity is a series of choices. Every day you must choose whom you will serve: God, yourself, or the devil (Joshua 24:15) This area will help you mature in your relationship with Christ. It will give you daily spiritual insight and nourishment. Its purpose is to help you mature spiritually by renewing your mind as you read the Word of God daily. Allow God to speak to you in the areas you need most. SALVATION At Walk of Faith Ministries, we state Proverbs 4:7, "In all your getting, get understanding." It is important that you understand what salvation is so that you may receive it as a gift and benefit from its blessings. What is Salvation? Salvation is deliverance (freedom) from authority and control of sin. According to the Word of God, you will be saved from enemies (Luke 1:710, sin (Romans 10:1,9-10) bondage (Acts 7:25) sickness, and disease (Acts 4:12). Salvation comes from the Greek word, soteria, which means deliverance. Salvation, in the New Testament, refers to eternal and temporary deliverance from danger. Deliverance is a release from bondage, imprisonment and captivity. Salvation is a gift available to all who repent (change their attitude and direction toward sin) and believe in Jesus (Roman 10:9-10) that prepares you to confess Him as your Savior and Lord. Why must I be saved? You should be saved because God loves you and wants you to be saved (John 3:16: 1 Timothy 2:3,4). Jesus died for your sins so that you can have the abundant life of prosperity and health! Does being saved mean I'm perfect? No, but you are forgiven (Romans 3:23,24) Will I be tested? Yes, Satan will tempt you as he tempted Jesus in Matthew 4:3-11, but you can count it all joy when you fall into various temptations and know that the trying of your faith works patience (James 1:2,3). Patience, when finished will leave you perfect (complete), wanting nothing. James 1:13 says "Let no man say he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempted he any man…" What does Salvation Cost me? The price of salvation was paid by the blood of Jesus Christ. In 1 Corinthians 6:19-20, the apostle Paul says that you are not your own, but you have been paid with a price. Jesus paid the price for you to receive the gift of salvation. What does knowing Jesus have to do with my salvation why call on the name of Jesus? Jesus is the only way to the Father according to John 14:6. Acts 4:12 also says that there is no other name under heaven by which we may be saved A Prayer to Receive Jesus as Savior Heavenly Father I realize and admit that I am a sinner. I repent of my sins and ask you to forgive me. You said in your Word,"Whosever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved" (Romans 10:13). Jesus, I'm calling your name. You also said, if thou shall confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shall believe in thine heart that God hath raised him form the dead, thou shall be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness: and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation" (Romans 10:9-10). I believe with my heart that Jesus was raised from the dead so that I may live eternally. I confess him now as my Lord. In Jesus name I pray. Amen. Hallelujah, I am saved! If you have accepted Christ and repeated this prayer, please contact Walk Of Faith Ministries at 601-894-1608, We will love to hear from you!
