OUR PURPOSE
We the church family of the Greater New Hope Worship Center was ordained by God to provide a spiriual environment of teaching, preaching, and withnessing to christians beleivers in the name of or Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Our purpose is to spread the word of God, save lost souls and to be a beacon light to our community as well to our fellow brothers and sisters in Christ. Our church motto: "The church where people with little hope or no hope will find hope".
OUR CHURCH AND OUR PASTOR
Greater New Hope Worship Center was organized by an annointed man of God in April 2001. Pastor Derrick D. Lewis, a young vessel for God carried out God's vision and organized a church in Simmesport, La. Our church started out with only four members, Pastor Lewis, First Lady Shantel Lewis, and sons, Derrion Lewis (4) and Jalon Lewis (2). Later, God stepped in and open doors where not one but two families joined the church and has been a spiritual success to many people ever since. God has since then blessed other families to join and also others to fellowship with us. Pastor Derrick D. Lewis is defenitely a man after God's own heart. He is the Loving husband of Sis. Shantel Lewis and father of three children. Pastor Lewis has been ordained and annointed since he was born but accepted his calling into the ministry, licenced and ordained in 1996, and has been on the battlefield since. His desire is to withness to people, win souls for christ and live the life that he preach about. He has been pastoring for one year and has been youth minister for four years, prison minister and also sponsor of various religious groups and activities. He attended United Theology Seminar in Alexandria La, and is currently enrolled to begin his study in Baton Rouge, La at Christian Bible College. And of course where there's a good man surely there besides him is a good woman. Sis Shantel Lewis is that special woman. A woman who get's the job done. Wherever she's needed in the church, community or to christians friends, Sis. Lewis is there to be a blessing. Always smiling and withnessing to people about the goodness of God. Together the two are striving to reach the younger genertion as well as the older generation and spread the word about the goodness of Jesus. Again Remember the family that prays together, Stays together.
