WELCOME TO LIGHTENING RIDGE BAPTIST CHURCH
We the Pastor, Ministers and Staff joining in with our members and attendees, all members of the Family of God, welcome you to Lightning Ridge Baptist Church. We are a Rural Community Church, therefore we serve a closely knit group of people that are "Down Home Friendly", not what you will experience in most metropolized congregations. Our vision is to serve God by loving you with genuine sincerity God calls us to do. We love to minister the gospel in music uplifting the Lord with resounding refrains in worship and praise to the Most High God. We minister by preaching and teaching God's work so that everyone at LRBC is grounded in the Word, also receives the joy of being ministered to by those annointed to serve you God's portion to feed you. We want you spiritually full, not getting up from God's table still feeling half full spiritually. We want you to need to loosen your belt a couple of notches so there is no question that we fed you all God put on the platter. We believe there is really only one denomination of God's people, BELIEVERS IN JESUS CHRIST THAT KNOW HE IS THE ONLY WAY TO ETERNAL LIFE! By,the same token, we are all just County Folks, the kind that like to be with good company, eat outstanding food that makes us want more and then say, "O, I ate too much my stomach aches from being to full. What's for dessert?". We are also Southern Baptists, and we are just as great or humble in the Lord as anyone else, so just grab up the kids, get your spouse and anything else you need, then get in the motorized buggy and come on out to Lightning Ridge Baptist Church where the Light of Jesus is the Ridge of our Faith.
ABOUT OUR PASTOR & MINISTERS
Jim Reed is the pastor of LRBC. He is joined in ministry by his wife and family. The Reed's have a compassion for souls and desire to serve you with Servant's Hearts. They are down home pastors with a zest for families, youth and seniors, considering each important in today's church. Still there is a fundamental desire to prepare our children and youth of today since they are the leaders, sevants and body of Christ as the church of tomorrow. You will love the Reed Family. Jim Frazier is our Youth Minister, one with a great passion and even greater compassion for youth. Jim is well equipped to understand and serve our youth in ways that many of us cannot serve due to lacking understanding of the young people of these times. He understands the peer pressures, the need to know technologies of this era and what it takes to reach inside of these people to touch their innermost being with the gospel of Christ Jesus. You are warmly welcome to be part of the youth ministry at LRBC. LRBC is blest with Lewis Everett and his wonderful wife joining in our music ministry. Lewis is the senior of our ministers, while in his vitality and dedication to music spans 30 years. Lewis is a worship & praise leader, choir & orchestra director and plays several instruments. Lewis is also a renouned composer of sacred music, what he call "Scripture Songs". He has been annointed to take Bible scriptures and write music to them. There are now two books entitled "Sing A Song of Scripture", Volumes I & II, now in print. Volume III is now being written and should come sailing off the printing presses in not too long. We know God just is enthralled to hear these anthems of Praise and Worship tickling his ears with joyousness from His children, we the Family of God. Contact Lewis at his email or phone number above.
