St. Joseph of Arimathea Anglican Church is a mission of the Diocese of the Western States, of the Anglican Province of Christ the King, a body of traditional Episcopal parishes that use the 1928 Book of Common Prayer. We firmly uphold historic Anglican doctrine, worship and moral teachings, and are committed to advancing the work of the Great Commission. The Holy Eucharist is celebrated every Wednesday evening at 7:00 PM in the Chapel of First Presbyterian Church, located at 840 S. 17th Street, in Lincoln. We also have Morning Prayer, led by our Lay Reader, every Sunday morning at 10:00 AM, and a Bible Study led by Fr. Novak, every Tuesday morning at 11:00 AM. For the location of Sunday Morning Prayer and the Tuesday Bible Study, or for more information call Fr. Novak at the Omaha Rectory: (402) 861-9062.
We welcome all who seek a firm and unchanging foundation for their Christian Faith, and invite you to worship with us this week. As Anglican Catholics, God is worshipped with great dignity according to the Rite of the 1928 Book of Common Prayer, the Sacraments are administered with reverence, and the uncompromised Word of God is preached, in an atmosphere of warmth, love and acceptance. As a mission congregation, we do not currently own our own building; but we are blessed with the use of the beautiful Chapel of First Presbyterian Church, located at 840 S. 17th Street in Lincoln. The Chapel has a vaulted ceiling, stained glass windows, altar and altar rail, an organ, and pews for about one hundred people. Our plans are to establish a thriving Anglican parish in Lincoln, and to eventually buy or build our own church building.
