C T's (Brief) Statement of Belief
We are a family of baptisted believers on the move for Jesus. One of our themes are "Moving Freely By The Holy Ghost" and that is the strength of our ministry, (freely moving by His Spirit).Our call is to operate the commission of Jesus Christ through the ordinance of the Holy Ghost.
Through God's directions Christ Temple stands in love and unity as a faimly with the word of God fully preached and in operation.
We put it in our hearts to not just see and hear about the electrifing manifestations of God but to be workers of them as well.
"Christ Temple Ministries is not a building,it's people."
About Our Church and Pastors
Christ Temple has been in Bunkie, Louisiana since 1995. We are an offspring of Christ Temple New Life Ministries of Port Arthur, Texas. The Apostles their are Ronald & Maybeline Washington. We started out with ten members in Bunkie, including our Pastors and their children, but our leaders encouraged us to hold on to our faith through it all knowing that victory was in strength and not in numbers. Since then the Lord has blesses us to grow tremendously. And, thank God, our focus is still the same.
Our Pastors are two very anointed and loving people that the Lord has blessed Bunkie with as well as others that would receive them. They've been working in the ministry since 1990.
Our Bishop is a fire ball with a burning for all souls but his heart goes out to the youth. So he has designed an outreach ministry for this purpose. He states that "the importants is not to get them in Christ Temple to stay, but to get them in Christ to stay."
Pastor Zell is a woman after God's own heart with a sacrifical burning for God's people as well. The Lord has lad her to oversee many ministries within Christ Temple but one of her babies is the mailing ministry which allows her to reach souls by way of mail. Among her many gifts and anointings she is blessed as a world wide poet and writer.
Bishop & Pastor Leary has been in the Gospel Today Magazine in 2000 and in 2001 as "Most Loved Pastors". In January of 2002 they were presented with a plague given by The Gospel Today Magazine in honor of this.
God has done mighty things through our ministry and leaders, far and near, but we know that there's more to be done. And we are dedicated to the call.
