Holy Cross Anglican Church

At Holy Cross parish we are committed to "earnestly contend for the faith once and for all delivered to the saints" (Jude 3). You won't find anything new here. No new theology...no new morality...no trendy worship.What you will find is a congregation committed to the Word of God and to worshipping God in spirit and in truth.

From the beginning, the Reformed Episcopal Church has remained faithful to the inerrant Word of God, powerfully proclaiming the unchanging Gospel of Jesus Christ, upholding Biblical morality, and making real disciples. We thank God for the privilege of ascending before the Heavenly Throne in worship every Lord's Day, to hear His Word and to partake of the Sacrament of Holy Communion. We worship the Holy Trinity according to the liturgy of the classical Book of Common Prayer and sing the great hymns of the Church.

The Reformed Episcopal Church has doubled its membership in the last ten years. The Church consists of five dioceses in North America. It has four seminaries, parochial schools, retreat centers, and does missionary work throughout the world. It is not in communion with the liberal Episcopal Church USA, but is linked to the Anglican Communion through its union with the Anglican Church of Nigeria, the largest Anglican Church in the world, and works closely with the orthodox Anglican Provinces of the Global South. The Reformed Episcopal Church is also a member of the Common Cause Partners and the Federation of Anglican Churches in the America's under the patronage of Archbishop Gregory Venables, primate of the Anglican Communion's Province of the Southern Cone headquartered in Argentina.

Holy Cross Church became a congregation of the Reformed Episcopal Church on Sunday, July 29, 2007. We are a small but committed congregation, and have big plans for the future. We are currently meeting at the Holiday Inn Express, 17677 Wright Street, about 1 block South of 176th and West Center Road, in Omaha. The room we meet in is attractively and tastefully decorated, and our worship is accompanied by an organ keyboard played by a qualified church organist.

Holy Communion is celebrated every Sunday at 10:00 AM, and is followed by fellowship and refreshments. I have more than 20 years experience in the ordained ministry, and I am assisted by a Music Director. At Holy Cross parish, God is worshipped in a spirit of holiness, the uncompromised Word of God is proclaimed and taught, and the Sacraments are administered with reverence.
